Taking Light Doses of LSD for Cognitive Enhancement

So I have a hit-and-a-half left of Mayan blotter, a single blotter reportedly having 250 micrograms on it. I took half of the blotter, so between 100 and 150 micrograms roughly, and had a strong trip. But what I'm wondering is how does light dosages of LSD, more-or-less, say around 50 micrograms, generally affect you? So far, I've taken acid on four occasions, and on all those, it's been between 100 and 150 micrograms, and they've been introspective, mind-blowing and generally amazing, and there's that typical feeling of consciousness-expansion that's quintessential to the novelty of the psychedelic experience.

Overall, I'm interested in taking LSD as a nootropic in terms of enhancing creativity, intelligence and perceptual reasoning, and I feel that taking dosages around 50 micrograms is the ideal state, as opposed to spiritual, mystical, and transcendental psychedelic trips with a few hundred micrograms.

So is taking light doses of LSD a form of a nootropic for cognitive and intellectual enhancement? Or is it preferable to take moderate-to-heavy doses of it for the mind-expanding experiences described above?

It's always been disappointing when I've done a low LSD dose, A joint of decent weed would have been a better option.

I was taking LSD almost every day for a while in college and it did help in some ways. I remember writing a paper once that just was divinely inspired almost, got an A on that and it was totally influenced by my state of mind on LSD. I used to come home from school, take a blotter and rock out on the drums or guitar too almost every day. Can't believe I did that cuz I lived in an apartment haha. Yeah, LSD in small doses constantly is pretty nice.

Low doses of LSD can make for very satisfying experiences when combined with other activities because it will enhance and not impair whatever you are doing too much. High doses, you sit on the couch and don't move. Forget playing a musical instrument on high doses, Syd Barrett tried that, didn't work. Low doses your fingers can still function but your mind will be somewhat freed from it's doing the same thing over and over pathways. Low doses of acid + nice summer day + beauty of nature + any outdoor recreation as long as you don't get too high and get yourself hurt, = great, great day.

<edit>

The idea of using LSD as a "brain vitamin" which I think is kinda what nootropic means, might work in the short run. Chronic long-term LSD use has been done many times and I don't see much evidence that you will end up smarter at the end of it.

Low doses of LSD taken during classes often allow me more unique insights into discussions. You just have to make sure you dose right, because too much can shut you out of the discussion entirely.

Personally, I find it hard to trip on any amount of LSD and do work at home, as I get too easily distracted.

If you're looking for cognitive enhancement, you should try actual nootropics, like the racetams.

Yeah I snort a fat line of piracetam everyday. I just like inhaling drugs.

One of my books or something I read a few years ago mentioned someone (their reference seemed qualified, doctor maybe...) who studied small doses of LSD as a replacement for adderall and amphetamines in the treatment of what is considered "ADD". Apparently the results were amazing when using around 25ug in place of a moderate amphetamine dosage.

The perceivable effects will diminish I'd imagine if the dosage remains consistent over time, but I'd be curious how the awareness heightening would change...just cause you quit feeling or noticing the effects does that mean that the increased focusing, which is sought after in this case, would disappear within the month as well...?
