Taking ecstasy after surgery?

I had external surgery on my back almost two weeks ago now. So at the moment I am left with an excision that is stitched and in the process of healing. I get the stitches out in a day and it is meant to be healed in one weeks time after that.

There is 20% chance that my excision will break down and won't heal properly and I'm just wondering if taking Escstacy would mess with that. Would it slow down and interfere with the healing process if I was to take ecstasy in about a week? I know none of you are doctors, but I am too uncomforatble to actually confront my surgeon about this at the post operation appointment which is in one week. Thoughts? Thanks!

I simply would not risk it at this point. Wait until you have healed a month or so before doing anything recreational, just to give your body time to recover. Anesthesia and the stress of surgery takes a toll on many systems in your body, so if it is at all avoidable, I would avoid it for the time being.

I would not risk anything either --- moving around might mess with the wound also, it'll be worth the wait when you don't have to worry about if you may hurt yourself or not.

If the excision was performed 2 weeks ago I don't think you have anything to worry about as long as you don't knock or tear it. Primary wound closure would be completed and the sutures would have done their job. At this stage ectasy won't affect epithelialization. Well not to any measurable extent.

I personally would give a big no to this, your backs way more important than doing some mdma which you could do anytime.

Its likely taking E will take a toll on you're body/mind, I'd just chill with some painkillers til your properly mended and can enjoy the experience without any worries.
