Hi guys,
This is my first post, and I was hoping to get a bit of advice on dxm. I live in the UK, and a lot of the syrups with just dextromethorphan hydrobromide aren't available. I managed to get some Robitussin Dry Cough medicine, which has only DXM under active ingredients, but it also contains Sorbitol. From what I've heard, this is a nasty chemical that causes nausea and diarrhoea. The whole bottle is 250ml, and if i take it all I'll get 375mg of dxm. This my first time taking the drug, and I don't want it to be ruined by nausea from taking too much Sorbitol. Will it have an effect on me given the amount I'm planning on taking (375mg)? Also, I'd like to point out that I really don't mind diarrhoea, it's just the nausea I'm worried about.
If it's a bad idea, is there another syrup I should get from the pharmacy?
Thanks a lot!
