Still, beta blockers, in combination with catecholamine agonists (eg speed) can cause rebound alpha agonism, which can put blood pressure up into aneurism territory
I guess smoking crack is out of the question then?
Bugger.

Or as the lad who wrote most of the songs for the band put it, "welcome, the five fingered widow!" (And we wondered why most liberal types were horrified by the band's songs! Can't say I've noticed any problems in the trouser department tbh. The only issue there is that the wife's on the menopause, so it's Mrs palm and her five lovely daughters for me these days...![]()

I get lorazepam prescribed, but the (sort of) benzo I wish I could still access, is etizolam
I never got addicted to smoking in the first place. Sometimes I did for a few weeks or months, then I seemed kind of stupid to me. Doc once said I have no addictive personality, I think that's why I got half-year prescriptions for benzos. And much as I like them, after taking them like candy for ten days straight I kind of lose interest. Many people have said to me that stopping smoking is harder than quitting heroin. My response has always been 'I wouldn't know, I've never tried to stop smoking". It's a cliché, but fuckin true...
Yes, I got bored with repeat scripts for morphine, when the cats tried to kill me (well, gave me a septic abscess, after using my thigh, as a springboard). First week was nice, but after that, being perm fucked on opiates got boring rather quickly (to qualify that, the idea of getting bored with prescribed dexedrine is preposterous!)I never got addicted to smoking in the first place. @F.U.B.A.R. I have that script you want![]()
I have NEVER smoked a cigarette (by that I mean just tobacco). Comes of years, as a kid, being stuck in the back of a car, when both my parents smoked. I'd love to know who postulated that if your parents smoked, you were more likely to: all the people I know who smoke weed, but have neved smoked tobacco, had both parents as smokers...I never got addicted to smoking in the first place. I never really rated lorazepam or etizolam. But I'd love a script for clonazepam...
There's no way I'm giving up butter for health conscious margarines such as fucking "Flora" either. One tastes absolutely delicious and the other is completely revolting. That is the only consideration worth bothering about as far as I'm concerned.Prefer statins and huge lumps of Lurpak butter on toast (or for frying, baking etc).
Just one heart attack isn't going to put me off butter!![]()
Well that's good to know if it's true. But tbh I start to become disinterested and confused about all the different types of fats and which ones are supposed to be healthy one month, and then suddenly not healthy the next month, and vice-versa. The seemingly constantly changing narrative about fats pisses me off and I'm not interested enough to make the effort to keep up with it.....I just stick to what I like the taste of lol.Butter isn't actully unhealthy for you. Heavily processed and refined foods like margarine are worse. Natural fats - whether they're saturated or unsaturated are an essential part of a diet - much more so than carbohydrates. The fats you should cut down on are the trans-fats.
'Fat' is an unfortunate colloquial name for lipids because if its negative conotations

Was about to write something along those same lines. I even was told to AVOID margarine by a nutritionist who advised me on my food allergies. And another big misconception is that gluten thing. I'm intolerant to yeast. Most bread isn't baked properly nowadays, so people can heat it up at home or freeze it, or it's just a cheaper and faster. I couldn't eat bread without getting stomach cramps, and was told it was gluten-related. Ubutntil.all the tests revealed that it was in fact because of the not fully, or too fermented yeast. If I toast the bread, then there's less problem for me.Butter isn't actully unhealthy for you. Heavily processed and refined foods like margarine are worse. I actually am aware of that; I was jst using it as a means of comment on people who give up everything enjoyable, in an effort to get a telegram from the ruling monarch, on their 100th birthday.Butter isn't actully unhealthy for you.
