Taking drugs and staying in peak shape

1) I enjoy most things of life outside drugs
2) I'm a lightweight and I feel very ill if eat the wrong food, or if I take too many drugs, too often, or both
3) I tend to get very anxious about things and therefore I need to lead a balanced lifestyle and feel 'in control'
4) I've got a mortgage and a demanding full time job, so I need to function, and well too
5) I cook all my food from fresh, I don't eat any type of preservatives, no processed meat, no wheat, hardly any sugar, no fizzy drinks, no tea or coffee, 3-4 units of alchool a month, don't smoke cigarettes, I practive astanga yoga, mindfulness and deep breathing to de-stress and energize

Now that I've re-read this I sound either fake or a very annoying type, lol

Decent diet helps a lot, get the beetroot out

Your Sir are a very disturbed individual ;)

I've actually been using the gym of late, I can only use the bike and the cross trainer but I've managed it 4-5 times a week.

When I was a Hardcore Disciple I was properly fit, with youth on my side and 7-8 straight of jumping about like a loon every weekend, physically I was tip top.

These days I limit my drug use as much as possible and try to eat well and get some half decent sleep, mental health is something I'm much more concious of these days having taken it for granted in the past.

Make sure the drugs are as pure as you can manage atm. Sufficient purity is the key... ;)

Drugs here have always been pure in the past so I am not complaining Ismene but with all that rc's today you are being served like kings. So have we reached a verdict at this point seemingly not. But I am guessing educated harm reduced drug use, including binging on speed a weekend once in a while could blend nicely with an productive live healthy living and sports.

I think so but these would acquire some willpower often seen in the later stages of live.

I prefer to take drugs during office hours, and the early evening also. This helps.

For example getting on it at 1pm and getting totally fucked up and back to some sort of normality for midnight, as opposed to getting on it at 8pm and going through to 8am. Thats a young mans game which although i can manage it, i do suffer like fuck the next week with fatigue and lethargy. This has literally only been becoming an issue in the last year or so.....I ve had a decent shift from 18 - 36 years old, of late weekends and all nighters.

It takes a sensible head to read the changes, and I have. Im currently trying my best to avoid all nighters. Im also attemting to be a little more selective of when i take drugs, as in not every weekend! Will power is key as is avoiding getting pissed which destroysd my will power.

Allnighters and daytime drugs enjoy while you can when you have kids it will take a lot of effort to plug in a day high as a kite in. But youre right it will make the comedown eassier but doing it less often will have an far greater effect :)

Me I am just looking for an justification to get high and trie to get myself on the roll again, what else to do with this beatycase full of rc's? But getting high can make a man make it thru another year or make you do a u-turn in behavier, theoratically that is.

I hear masturbation doesn't count. Well I think actual sex must do. I've never exercised, ate fuck all for 10 years except MDMA, and am still going at 49/F/Rochdale.

Yeah. sex.

I eat like a bastard now btw. Oh, and I didn't drink for about 20 years.

Sex and no alcohol. Harm reduction ftw.

Eating like a bastard seems to be key to all this.

Yeah, except, as you say, not before drugs.

I remember in the mid 90's a friend of a friend came round to Er, borrow some MDMA from me. I'd never met him before and he thought he'd impress me by telling me a really unfunny story about drugs that involved him taking ecstasy and then going to MacDonalds for a Big Mac and then to the pub.

At that point I knew it was going to be downhill from there for ecstasy. It was then I realised I was a drug snob. But I was right.

Did a lot of climbing. Kept me in good shape, was bouldering mind you, fuck rope climbing.

I've Had year off due to broken arm. Starting again in April!

Bouldering is damn good exercise, can be pretty painful when ya mess up tho eh?

My main drugs and staying in shape thing was last year when I was alternating between withdrawing and binging on that am2201 taking over a quarter gram a day. Put on 15kg of pretty much just muscle in a couple of months was insane. I did start at the weight of being able to see my own ribs and touch finger to thumb around my bicep. I was eating a ridiculous amount, and when I kicked proper went on a bit of a healthy nutritious whole food diet. Semi paleo diet almost, but not to the extremes that you're 'supposed' to take it, I basically just added as much fruit/veg/wholegrain/nuts/meat as I could to my normal diet and cut out chocolate, fizzy drinks and toast.
Always used to take a foil with a fat dose melted on it to the gym for pre workout, made it so much easier to fully exert as well as feel the way the muscle groups worked together. Still love going to the gym blasted on synthetics, they seem to make it easier and better and more enjoyable somehow, probably not a great idea though. XD

Lots of protein shakes too, not those horrid flavoured powdered shitshakes. I highly recommend making up your own if you use em; handful of frozen fruit, half a banana, teaspoon of brewing sugar (cheap way to get dextrose) and a big scoop of unflavoured whey makes the perfect base. I normally throw in a teaspoon of beta alanine, 2 of l glutamine and one of creatine. Then top up with milk or water to your taste (I sometimes add a spoon of icecream, makes it well creamy). I always have my shakes before, at one point I would have one before and after. - for the after shake just add about 30% ice (after you've blended it) and it'll melt and be lovely n cold in time for the end of your workout.

They can be really tasty if you do em right - frozen blackforest fruit mix from asda is pretty good, 500g for <£2 iirc. Pre frozen stuff is normally quite a bit cheaper too. Fresh blackberries round autumn are the cheapest though. ;)

I go through periods of taking drugs. I haven't taken any (aside from drinking) for a while now, but then when I do, it'll be fairly regularly (usually).
I always keep myself busy through both periods of being on them, and off them. I go to the gym at least twice a week, without fail, and I constantly write music. Keeps my mind flowing properly. ;)

You know what? Ta-da! You win the thread. No shit.

Everyone here is constantly going on about physical exercise, protein shakes and the like but it's stupidly easy to overlook the most important thing were messing with all the time on drugs. Our minds.

Body and mind, people, body AND mind.

Chuck some piracetam in the shake then :P

I like making music too, not 'writing' it tho as I have no theory knowledge, failed a level 1 theory test haha. Hardtekno/schranz remix of somethings got a hold on me coming up!

I do find myself constantly compromising my ideas when trying to punch ideas into the bloody computer tho. Due to this I've got this to read over the summer Music Theory for Computer Musicians and going to be learning C/arduino for some cool lighting, Midi controller and robotics projects. Cant really argue at £3 for an easily programmable microcontroller with 14 digital I/Os and 6 analogues and no operating system to worry about, as soon as it's on it's doing what ya programmed it to. Might only be a 20mhz arm chip but still, you can do quite a bit with that.

Climbing is great for arm strength. (Just make sure you train the antagonist muscles seperately...triceps, deltoids)

But CV-wise it pretty sucks. I'd combine it with running or cycling.

Bouldering ain't climbing. Buncha pebble-wrestlers :D

I agree

Started my endurance training programme today. I've got a long way to go :|

Shoulder presses, bicup curls, bench presses, bent-over row, no problems. But I can barely do 6 "eccentric" chin-ups without having a heart attack, and I'm supposed to 4 sets. Actually it's hurting my hands more than anything. Might put on a pair of gloves.

So very true. I personally read a ton, I write (fiction), do puzzles and play cards and board games whenever I get the chance. I also watch movies in other languages, both those I know fairly well and those I don't, with English subtitles. I try to read in the 4 languages which aren't my mother tongue regularly. Learning languages really stimulates the mind! My father has Alzheimer's and my mother is psychotic so I'm determined to keep my mind as sharp as possible.
