Taking Clonopin on the Comedown from Ecstasy (after having postloaded with Prozac) ?

I just acquired a few generic Clonopin (Clonozepam) and was curious as to the possibility of popping one upon coming down from a roll.
I have read materials that indicate that Benzodiazapine substances (Valium and Xanax) may increase the risk of neurotoxicity from the E. Clonopin is not a Benzo, but it seems related in its effects.
I always postload with 20 mgs of Prozac after rolling as well, so the interaction with Prozac is a concern.
Could anyone give advice regarding these interactions or point me in the right direction ? I've done a search already w/o success....

Yes, you can have advice. Klonopin is a benzo, just like the others. Using them is the best thing for falling asleep after rolling.
Drop the prozac unless it is prescribed for you. Prozac needs to be in your sysytem for quite a while before it works properly. Just postload using 5-htp and you'll be fine.

PLURALISM-Learn to spell KLONOPIN right. You should have more respect for Klonopin as it is the greatest benzo(aside from roofies that is).As for your question it is perfectly safe to take Klonopin when coming down from X.If I ever did ecstasy again I'd probably snort some Klonopin whenever i took the tab.Fuck ecstasy alltogether though.

How much in depth have you guys researched the MDMA neurotoxicity issue? As an occasional roller who is working on two graduate degrees and is thus on a mission to preserve all the neuron function I can, I have looked closely at how one may minimize or prevent entirely any neurotoxic damage.
If you're concerned about your brain, I suggest you read the excerpt below:
From Raverdoc, in this thread http://www2.bluelight.ru/ubb/Forum15/HTML/000432.html :
"I absolutely disagree. if you are going to post-load with anything, use Prozac or another SSRI, 20mg, around 5 hours after the roll.
I'm not about to get into the 5-HTP vs SSRI argument; but SSRI's are the only thing studied in the prevention of neurotoxicity with MDMA use; even that was an animal study, but it's better than nothing."
Raverdoc
Take advantage of the newly-functional search engine to find more useful information on protecting your brain function through the use of SSRIs after Ecstasy.
Also see this site for a detailed abstact of one of several relevant scientific studies: http://www.mdma.net/mdmafluox.html
Apparently, my question about the use of Clonozepam was answered by Raverdoc a while back. (wherefore art thou Raverdoc?

PLURalism, I am a full time college student also. I'm a senior at one of the county's biggest colleges so I like to try to keep as many brain cells working as possbile, too.
If you roll, it's not good for you. By chomping down a bunch of SSRI's or whatever other antidepressant you have, you aren't going to save your brain. 5-htp is the best stuff out there to soften the next few days.
BTW, if your question is already answered, then you didn't need to ask it.

Greenhaze - I would not have asked the question had I known the answer was out there. Being unaware that clonozepam is a benzo, I did not enter the search term "benzo" when I made an initial Search prior to asking the clonozepam question here. I found that thread once I looked to find information on benzos after someone assured me that this substance was a benzo. I have been on Bluelight for quite a while now and am a constant advocate of using the search function to prevent redundant posts.
Obviously, your view of Prozac postloading differs from my opinion, which has been informed by various studies and is supported by Bluelight's main Medical moderator, Raverdoc. I'll continue to postload with an SSRI because I believe that the evidence that is out there indicates that your brain will benefit from SSRI postloading. 5-HTP works fine in its role of facilitating seratonin production a couple of days after rolling, but in those critical six hours after the MDMA has worn off, SSRIs can play a unparalleled role in protection against the immediate seratonergic deficits that allow dopamine to enter the seratonin receptors.
The number of scientists that seem to agree that this is the case greatly outweighs the few dissidents who believe that postloading is either pointless or may actually cause damage to dopamine.

Huh? Benzodiazepines have NO negetive effects, and if anything, their action at GABA receptor sites HELP to lessen MDMA induced neurotoxicity - you need to look for a better information souce...
But this is really a better question for those in the medical forum, shit, maybe bluelight disc... um, fuck it, ANYWHERE but the Other Drugs forum, as this is for drugs OTHER THEN ECSTASY!
Thank you!
