Hello. I was prescribed 20MG of adderall for adult ADHD. I was told to take a drug holiday by the pharmacist so I do not build up a tolerance to it. I am terrified as in my experience I do not handle medication withdraws well at all. I also had modafinil and was wondering if it would be okay to take the adderall 5 days off and then the two days off I could substitute the modafinil? This way I would be on adderall for 5 days and technically off for two days. Would this work? Or would the body just assume it was getting the same drug since the drugs are similar.

Your tolerance will still decrease but not as much as it would if you just stopped taking all stimulants for a few days. Amphetamine withdrawal is pretty tame imo.
