This goes for all pills i guess but i find that when i take multiple low does pills of a medication i get a better effect rather than taking one high dose pill. Ive been told that this is because the more surface area of a medication the better the effect, as in crushing up a pill theres more surface area so it hits faster and harder. Im wanting to know if this is the same effect I get from when i take multiple low dose rather than one high dose. A huge example is my buddy gave me 2mg worth of xanax in .25mg doses and i felt WAY more benzo'ed out then I do when i take just one bar. Any thoughts on this? Any one agree that taking multiple low dose pills is better than taking one high dose? Is this all in my fucking head just because i see more pills i think im getting higher? Also i was wondering if crushing up the medication before taking it will make the effects stronger.. but wont last as long? The meds i usually deal with are benzos and opiates and amphetamines.. fyi

It's either in your head, the surface area, or your 2mg bars are underdosed. Without getting into brand discussion, with pharmaceuticals people always complain that brand A is better than brand B. I'm not sure if there's any truth to that, it may just be placebo as well, but many swear that their generics aren't as effective as brand name pills. I can say that I've not noticed any difference between the footballs and 2mg bars at an equivalent dose, however.

It's a placebo effect.

Though there's a slight chance that there could be more in the more pills due to a funny thing about how pills are made. Consider, if each pill is allowed to be off by 10% +/-, then that could end up being a bigger dose if each .25 is a full .25 but the 2mg is only 1.8mg.
