colombiandopehead - get it through your thick skull. advocating that IV use is the best way to take any drug in the forum won't be tolerated. i don't give a shit how you try and justify it it is purely a subjective opinion of yours, and extremely dangerous "information" to be passing around. so get off tommy's ass and take the advice that numerous mods have given you otherwise you're going to find your time difficult in here. furthermore on that note if you've got a problem with someone take it to the PM system, not the public forum.

I've heard IVing is much nicer than snorting or smoking, but don't really dare inject myself with it, and we don't have injection rooms
in the UK. Does it simply take a long time to adjust to the effects of heroin? Should I start out on something weaker, like oxycodone? Thanks for any help.

Just my 2 cents but I would just stop even trying to get high on H and walk away while you still have your health, and whatever other positive things you're holding onto that Heroin robbed me of many years ago. I am not trying to tell you what to do, just what I suggest. My 2 cents bro, spend it however you want :)

All drugs are destructive so if you're going to use then use the best; heroin. You think some people are better than others because they just smoke weed or pop a pill but NEVER shoot heroin?? Any drug taking is addictive behavior which means you're an addict no matter what drug is your choice.

This is one of the stupidest things I have ever read.

Ditto. Can we please start banning people?
If anything calls for it, It's useless, reckless and misinformation such as this. Even AFTER he was asked not to. I am anti-ban as well as pro-information but saying things like he did has the potential to ruin lives

don't worry, we're aware of the statements and they've been addressed so let's keep the thread on topic before i close it for getting too far derailed. let's be fair on the original poster.

Lazuri,

What other opiate experience do you have?
Also, don't necessarily consider oxycodone weaker. Many users would prefer pharm grade oxy over their H.

Just wanted to say that first off, heroin is like fentanyl.
You shouldn't even be thinking about it unless you have a high tolerance to other opiates.

Secondly, if I ever hear of anybody on this forum advocating IV usage of any substance, I will report you to mods immediately and vouch for your removal from the site.
IV administration is the most dangerous way to administer any drug, not just heroin or other opiates.
There are so many ways to die from IV's that the number will shock you.

So, my suggestion is to steer clear of heroin unless you have familiarized yourself thoroughly with the risks involved and the body's tolerance for substances like it.
Preferably, stay away from it in it's entirety because heroin dealers are notoriously dirty, lowlife individuals who will do anything for a quick buck, including selling fake or bad dope cut with all sorts of nasty things that could damage your health.

This is some of the best advice you will ever hear in you're life...

I agree, although who am I to say that would be the pot calling the kettle black. I don't regret things, regret is a useless feeling and a waste of time, if I am going to regret things I will just dedicate that time to inventing a time machine. That being said, I am very remorseful for ever having used, abused, misused and became horribly physically and mentally addicted to opiates and pharmaceuticals of several types. Especially anxiolytics though, benzo use, after years has left me in a really funky place where I don't really get any benefit from taking them but at the same time I am deathly afraid of going without, have tried several tapers and 12 step programs and all that, but just haven't found the willingness to totally leave 'em alone. And opiates, my goodness, what a great saying "chasing the dragon..." Dragons seem interesting right? I mean cool mythological creature, the IDEA of a dragon is interesting, but I spent so many years of my life chasing something that doesn't even exist and if it does is so dangerous, far fetched, and demoralizing that if I ever find it I would probably be devoid of all morality and self preservation. Let's just say that I sometimes wonder what life would be like if I hadn't started down the opiate / benzo road but now that I'm 3,000 miles into it, I see that the best advice I can give somebody about these drugs is this - DON'T START - I used to be just like you, thought I could dabble, thought that others were just stupid and couldn't do it right, that they LET it get out of control. Well now I find myself battling with the same problems that I used to sneer at people who had, used to think they were stupid or they just didn't know how to get high, "couldn't handle their shit." In my experience there is no "handling" opiates and benzos, at least not when they are used with any regularity whatsoever.

Not to mention there is wayyyy more fun to be had with other less addictive, sinister, and dangerous drugs. Any drug can be misused or abused, but opiates and benzos are nearly impossible to use recreationally.

Harm Reduction = Steer Clear of Opiates and Pharmaceuticals, you will miss out on sooo much more if you get involved with these drugs than if you just choose to not touch them period.

*steps off his soapbox

But what do I know, I'm just a junkie (an eloquent one perhaps but none the less, still a slave to my drugs of choice.)%)

@ Inrvizion:

Good solid advice mate.
I gotta say, I agree with you %100.

Let's all be good dirty junkies now, shall we?
After all, the worst kind of junkie is not the one using the hardest drugs, the worst kind of junkie is a dead one.
So please boys and girls, play it safe, distance yourself from as much trouble as possible, enjoy life and have fun.
But first and foremost, remember to use your noodle and keep yourself alive and out of harms way.

@HomebrewChemist - I think you put that in the most beautifully simple explanation of Harm Reduction I have ever heard. 1. Play it safe 2. Stay away from trouble and don't play hide 'n' seek on the firing range. But most importantly - HAVE FUN! Life's too short to focus on the negative, let's just all be mindful that the world is a dangerous place and if we ever need any advice we can always come to Bluelight and ask. A great place to learn how to have a good time, safely.

LoL - Good dirty junkie - check (you know we can't make up our own nicknames so I am gonna take that one) Inrvizion - AKA - The Good Dirty Junkie -

Play safe kids, take it sleazy...
