Another reason why the curfew wouldnt work :

Seeing as many of the offenders are approaching 18, what happens when they legally turn 18? Will their behaviors have changed? It's just a quick fix, failing to address the real social issues. They don't just disappear like that

Creating a curfew isnt going to deter kids off the streets, it will just cause more crazyness. Imagine if there was a curfew a group of kids are walking along and a cop car cruises after them you think those kids are going to just stand there? No there going to run away break things, hurt themselfs or other people. It will just create more resentment towards the police and society plus it will take away the fun and learning experiences during a time where self developement is at its peak. We learn from our mistakes but what can we learn if we are unable to make any? Sure there are some real trouble neighbourhoods which should, instead have different management stratigies for these areas and find out why the violence occurs, then fix the problem. The problem with society today is they think if they bring out one law they think it fixes everything, some laws are benificial to the running of society but others are a disaster. So in short no I dont agree with a curfew as there are better more effective ways to deal with issues.
