syringes scheduled in CA?!

Hi, they tell me at the pharmacy that in California syringes can't be got w/out a prescription, which I don't have - what's with this?
How should I go about getting them?

What pharmacy did you go to?
I bought syringes in CA last year without any problem -- and though it is possible that the law has changed, it seems more likely that you ran into a suspicious/uptight pharmacist.
I'd try going to a couple more (different) pharmacies.
