What strikes me funny is, Israel strikes Syria and no one bats an eye. What sort of global consequences would occur if Syria were to strike military targets inside Israel?

Not at all, when Israels forces went through Gaza looking for a tunnel and destroyed 92 homes of displaced palestinians leaving 2 standing, nothing rogue about that. All their previous homes in Israel were occupied by settlers.
