synthetic opium?

I know I've read a post about this before but since there is no search feature that I could find, I'm just going to ask my question.
A friend of mine is talking about this "synthetic opium". to the best of my memory he said its in a clear crystallized form. supposedly his brother had some and he said it was just like opium. ANY IDEAs? anyone heard of this stuff? I'm doubting its actually opium, but curious to see what it really is. thanks
 
yes, i've had it, it's been posted about many times. it feels exactly like an opiate of some sort, and sure as fuck isn't incense like some on here might tell you.

uhh that's beyond wack
opium is a plant product
its made up of a mixture of alkaloids, mostly morphine. morphine is probably the most powerful of them.
synthetic morphine is one thing... but synthetic opium would be like synthetic weed, or synthetic beef. it just doesn't work like that.
