THR and Unsquare suck! ;)

Food aside, the most interesting thing I heard all night was Macksta claiming he got toxic shock syndrome from a beer soaked tampon.

I'm still laughing. Not out loud. Just in my head. It still counts though.

It was good to meet t_k! You're a sweetheart. Great to see you again too MazDan - I can't believe I forgot that I met you! I'm hopeless.

so wh ois up for the next one

who would be intrested in sushi

i am a sushi addict
specialy for sushi form sushi train in newtown
some of the best gormet sushi there is in sydney

Yeah, I'm up for the next one. I absolutely hate sushi but most sushi places offer an alternative, don't they?

Yeah, THR sucks.
But I had a medium-range
health emergency
were my Tulip had to
get me to take her
to RPA.

The triage made us wait 3-4 hours...
.....
...
.
which,
although I know they've got it ruff
(chewy...?
....You've been pitchin' that all night!)

took WAY to long
for her to be seen to.

Then I'm freakin' out caus I go into a lil' fit
caus I left my Alprazolam (scripted) at home
& started gettin' the Jones.

So they start thinkin' I'm the one with problem...
...solution,
give me a 5mg Diazepam
an' make us wait another hour...

...4-8mg Xanax a day = 80-160mg Valium
...5mg's is like chuckin' a 5 cent coin
into a wishin' well full of Sharks.

I even showed my script.
But,
sorry Sir,
we can't help you out,
just sit down,
relax,
(yeah 'Relax' like the President of Micronesia...),
an' be patient.

So I'm climbin' the walls,
she's ---not--- well,
an' I had no credit or even change
to call an' informa.

Sorry to Macksta for not contactin' someone,
I was jus'way off the thought-radar.

Next time,
barrin' unforseen hemoragin'
I shall mos def. be there.

Sorry &
Thanks Again.

PEACE
UnS

N.B.: Did Yarni bring a cask?
She better have,
caus I had a cooler & cask ready,
to see what 'appens when they tried to cork(age) it...

:\ :)

It was a good night, I was kinda shy but that will hopefully change soon. U_A_N...thanks, your really cool too, made me feel very welcome. Couldnt find anything bad with any of the people who turned up, your a good bunch.

I was suprised I could get beers without them even asking for ID ;) haha!

Nice to see you all again, and to meet the new recruits :)

Sorry I had to leave early, what did you guys get up to later?

Macksta, did I leave enough?

To anyone who may have noticed my mental vacancy or oddness, please forgive me. I blame Friday night :)

Sorry to hear UnSquare :( Hope things worked out for the best. Apologies for my late exit, I really did want to come and meet all the peoples that I am yet to meet. Glad you all had a good night, interested to hear the antics ;)

I had a fantastic time, thanks to everyone who showed up. I don't know about everyone else but I thought the food was delicious.

Nexus One - Spot on mate $25, was good to see you again, I really like talking to you, hope to see you out again at the next outing, or even for a random social drink.

Ketaman - Hope you had a good time! See, we BL'ers aren't all horrible ogres. Good luck with school, you seem like you're on the right course there so stick with it, best thing you'll have ever done.

Mazdan - It's been too long mate but I'm really glad to see you're still around. Always a pleasure catching up with you, you have the best attitude and most positive spin on life I've seen from anyone.. ever!

Up All Night, Keej and Leecie can have a shared props because they know I love them. :P

^^

definitely seems like it ;)

Well hey, sucks that I missed this... but I'll be at the next one... yes I know I said this last time... but I'll do my damnedest to not have something come up... I'm not one of those famed BL pikers... I don't need that reputation!

CB ;):)

Is 18th November good for people?

(That's my only free weekend in November!)

I like sushi, but I don't know about going to sushi train with a big group...

Going to a Greek restaurant was discussed last time, anyone still interested in that?

I've been to Diethnes, and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. They have a full bar with cocktails too.

It's on Pitt St.

yes thr most sushi places have other non sushi type food stuff

kat if you get in to sushi train before 6:30 on a friday or saturday you can usualy get about 5 to 10 people in

there does need to be a biger one like they do up in brisbane (think it sits about 50 patrons(and they have a real toy train to take the sushi rouns on))

im happy to scout out a biger place sushi wise (mm drewling already at the prospect of sampling all that sushi)

only place i can think of that would house a big group would be the sushi place up in the food court in at broadway shoping centre
there sushi isnt as good as newtown sushi train but its prity close

(and we all tell just how addicted to sushi i am)

^^

The Japanese place in the Food court at Broadway is really kinda average... average to bad... I'm really not a big fan...

CB.

the sushi bar there isnt to bad not the best and def nto my fave but yeah im def nto a fan of the restraunt section there
just thought of it as it would be big enough to hold a big group

if i was goign otgo to a japaness restraunt i would got to the one on king st in newtown

Problem with Sushi Train is

a) It's a franchise - And I just went into the Melbourne Food Society thread and gave them shit for going to a franchise.

b) The seating is not condusive to large social groups, as in everyone has to sit in a row which really reduces conversation opportunities to those sitting next to you.

I've been to the Broadway japanese place, and I'm really not big on going to anywhere that locates itself in a food court.

I'm totally down with going to a Greek restaurant though so I throw my hat in with Kat's suggestion - and with $9.50 cocktails... the place sells itself. I'm even willing to pay for my food this time :)

Magpi... this is really what I was getting at with my big group comment.

(And +1 on the franchise bit ;))

I'd love to do a Japanese restaurant at some stage, but seeing as two out of the three food nights have been Asian style so far, my vote goes to branching out.

Vote one GREEK!

(I'll come eat sushi with you another day!)

*edit*

This has nothing to do with the appreciation of food and beverages.

:)
