I reckon near those sprinklers near where you get the armbands....and 12 is a lil early, i reckon the dentist's hour is more suitable (2.30)
 
Donny Don't: yeah, but theres a few of those sprinklers scattered around that area.

Or could i suggest infront/upstairs (however u look at it) of the lilypad?

Is that olympic cauldron where that grassy area is towards the end of the market stalls, off to the side where those big yellow and green recycling bins always stand every year?
 
ok, the place im thinking of... is like.. near where the rides are and shit, like as if you were walking towards the footy stadium, there is this huge sprinkler doovy thingy, that spits water out, im sure it is the cauldron...

its more to when u walk in... its just kinda on the left hand side down a bit... you all know what im talking about... just dont...

lillypad is hard, because of the people that are there, there is like ALWAYS people there...

same with the wristband section, it is always crowded there...

but yeah, that still up in the open for a meet-up point... i just dont want it to be crowded and have people just going "ugh" again...
 
With NYE been and gone this is the next BIG EVENT and thus the firing up process starts immediately. I have no idea where this meeting place is you speak of, but when the maps come out i expect it to be marked with a red X. This meetup needs to be carried out with military precision, to ensure all souls are accounted for, and not left hanging high and dry as they stumble around amongst throngs of people saying to themself "i *think* this is where they said it would be".

my body is sore, and my throat is fucked, but that it completely OFF TOPIC...

yes, im am quite excited, had a good look at the line up, i am thinking of cutting myself into about 4 pieces, and if there are any clashes, i will be able to see them all
 
ok, well, the timetables are out, but i cant find the map (DONNY HELP ME)

um, so yeah, after scoping out the timetable, my proposed time for the meet will be

1pm... which i think is a goodtime, the gates have been open for a while (and it wont be like homebake, coz these fuckers are a bit more organised) and there isnt much on at the time (besides eskimo joe) sorry, if anyone wants to see them...

If anyone else has another suggestion for a time, please step forward...

But yeah, now, i have looked at the timetable...

so like homebake, i will make a plan for the day and it wont happen, but mine looks something like this

Scribe w/ P Money - 2:15 - 3:00
Infusion - 3:00 - 4:00
Bexta - 4:00 - 5:00
Freestylers - 5:00 - 6:00
the end of Slipknot (from distance) - 6:30
System of a down (from distance) - 6:30 - 7:30
run down to green stage for... The Streets - 7:30 - 8:20
and then spend the rest of my night in the arena for
Beastie Boys - 8:45 - 10:00
Chemical Brothers - 10:00 - 11:15

There is a video link for the chem bros in the boiler room, which i think i may go in for, just depending on how packed the arena is, i want room to move, not be a sardine...

fuckin w00t, now im heaps excited i have seen the timetable...
 
Wow, that's a pretty stacked timetable. Powderfinger clash with the Streets though :(

Nah it's cool, I might not stay for the entirety of either so I'll probably end up going to both. Chances are I'll meet some of you completely randomly anyway.
 
Right well at this stage my day will be as follows*:

(*subject to change due to intoxication, what friends want to do and general level of energy and mood)

11:00-11:30 - Frenzal Rhomb

11:30-12:15 - undecided

12:15-1:00 - The Donnas

1:00-1:50 - Eskimo Joe

1:50-3:30 - undecided

3:30-5:00 - John Butler Trio/Bexta

5:00-6:00 - Freestylers

6:00-6:30 - Spiderbait

6:30-7:30 - System of a Down

7:30-8:45 - Powderfinger/The Streets (hovering between the two I imagine)

8:45-10:00 - Beastie Boys

10:00-11:15 - Chemical Brothers

11:15-11:50 - Regurgitator (if I can be bothered)



So yeah, I agree with the meetup before 1pm or after 2:40pm. Any time in my undecided bits are good, I'll probably only be wandering about during that time.
 
ok, well, i plan on being there early as well, so i dont really care what time it is. i was just saying 1 for anyone who is going to be that tad bit later,

so um... 12 it is :D
 
Hmm, i'll probably head to the boiler room for Carl Cox after the Streets and spend the rest of the night in there. Watch the Chems via video. I reckon it'll be more intimate in there anyway, i don't know how their set will be suited to the outdoor arena.
 
Well I see the map has been put up in the gallery. I know it sounds lame but should we make a big cardboard sign or something? Or do they not allow markers inside?
