[SYD] Sat 26th November - HardWars Outdoors - Scott Brown, Hixxy and Impact!!

Heck its only 8 hours to go now and all i can see is blue sky!

Bloody weird weather

Right now I don;t really care if it cloudless or pissing down rain, gonna have so much fun either way

If it weren't for the awesome DJs last night would have been pretty fuckin average

Production was CRAP - lasers anyone?? Nice work talking them up on the flyers there boys, how about actually delivering next time?! I had wondered myself if the outdoors factor would affect the stage smoke and hence the lasers as well ..... guess I was right (or is there another excuse?)

Venue was pretty under-utilised I thought, they could've told us before the party that they weren't using the actual main arena... dodgy!

Also the VIP thing, what a load of absolute bollocks. Me and crew show up at 9pm on the dot, we're stuck in the line for 50minutes just so the cops can run past us with their stupid little puppies .. A friend who DIDN'T have a lanyard was inside the party a good 10 minutes before me and the others with lanyards.

I think all in all, reflecting on the night it was simply a case of me (and everyone else) falling big time for promoter hype.. it's disappointing though and I certainly won't be rushing to attend another Fenix party. I had the highest hopes for Hardwars and really the only thing carrying this party was the DJ lineup, both international and local ...

Also let me just say that the only reason I went was for Hixxy and Scott Brown; as well as local DJs like Matrix, ILLFX and Team Rocket who were ALL awesome. Major bigups to you guys!! If powerhouse had nabbed scott and hixxy over hardwars I would be going there instead.

After last night I will be sticking to Powerhouse/Fantasia parties where the tickets are pretty much the same price (I paid like ~$57 for my ticket) and you get 100x more bang for your buck.

All the music played throughout the night was banging and great. DJ's (all of em) did a great job. Got a bit of Gabber out of Mr brown.

Production as said above was below average, just a bunch of lights and like 1 or 2 lazers which wasn't that effective cause the smoke machine smoke would blow away as soon as it was released cause of the windy conditions. Also thought they could of had the main stage (which i was shocked when i learned that that thing was the main stage) volume a little louder.

Overall it was still a pretty good party tho. It was the Great vibes and up for it atmosphere from the big crowd turnup that really help make it a decent night.

Godspeed 2 weeks anyone?
