A friend injected heroin into his hands and wrist 2 days ago and has swollen hands since doing so. there is no burning or pain... is this serious??

A friend? Just say its yourself.. probably not serious are you sure wasnt a miss? If it continues to swell and have pain id go check it out. Other drugs has more information, do a search this is a pretty common thread topic...

Edit: please avoid shooting in your wrist!! Your wrist and hands are the most nerve dense areas in your body considering how they are capableof such delicate motor functions. I got an infection in my wrist and had to have a plastic surgeon do the surgey to scrape the infection off the tendons due to the fact the plastic surgeons are specialized in dealing w delicate areas.

You may have hit a nerve, next time try different spots. Why are you shooting in your hands? Other veins blown?

Thanks for the advice. Its looking a little better so I'll see how it is tomorrow. .. Definitely will not do that again and yes arms are shot.. cant keep doing this(dope).. rush is great but not worth risk and besides can spend the $ more wisely

Veins in arm are hard like scar tissue do they get soft again? Do veins heal? If so how long?

Well if theyre hard like ropes it is not likely they will heal, and if they do it will take years. You mustve really beat them up for them to turn like they. Try rotating apots and using a small gauge need like a 29 or 31 gauge, and NEVER reuse needles, dull needles thrash veins. They do heal eventually, but some never heal at all. After a few months (at least four minimum) they start to come back, but some never will unfortunately. Take care of your veins and your veins will take care of you ;)

The Other Drugs forum will probably help you out more, this is more a social/discussion thread. Other drugs is more a Q&A type board and you will probably get more replies..
