Man i said like 10 times alrready kpins and any form of clonazepam will be out of the market here in less then a few months. I appreciate the advice. Clonaz i would honestly give a try but its not going to be on the market anymore and diazepam is useless. Any other suggestions>Switch to Klonopin instead or perhaps Valium. Equivalency charts can be found in my signature.
First post cherry pop. Cheers. Hopefully I can manage to make a post without breaking any rules. Here goes.
I've got pretty bad anxiety. Mainly just a constant anxiety that is exacerbated while I'm out in public. As hilarious as it is, when I'm not medicated, my "attacks" come in the form of me feeling like I'm shitting and pissing myself. No lie. Shrinks chalk it up to a triggered PTSD response from being in a prolonged state of fight or flight while overseas. Ever hear someone say they get a warm sensation that feels like they're pissing themselves when their stoned? Yeah that's me, except I'm completely sober and asking someone for directions.
Anyway, I think the key to benzodiazepines is finding one that doesn't completely kill your anxiety and get you high, but brings it down enough that you can then mentally work yourself through the rest. Otherwise, In my opinion, if you truly have severe anxiety, there is no pill that is going to completely rid you of it and still allow you to be functional. Go that route and you're lookin at a potentially serious addiction. But I'm not chairing an NA meeting, so the last thing I'll add in that regard is just make sure you're not confusing your unalleviated anxiety with what is actually withdrawal.
With that being said, I've tried pretty much every state side benzo there is. Temazepam wasn't bad but certainly didn't live up to it's hype. Plus, if I recall correctly, it's considered a "hypnotic" benzo, so idk how helpful it would be during the day time.
I'm currently on clonazepam and find that it works well for me. It is definitely subtle, but I purposely try to keep as low of a dosage as possible, just enough so I can actually function. The rest I curb with meditation, mindfulness, exercise, etc. Getting rid of at least your physical anxiety by burning yourself out at the gym really helps. If you're anxiety is truly that bad, I'd ditch the alprazolam as soon as possible. 6mg is nuts man, and all your doing is racking up your tolerance, which could all be avoided once you find your niche with a longer acting medication. But even for me, clonazepam cuts out half way through the day when it is supposed to last 12 hours, a typical regiment being one in the morning and one at night. I started at .5 2x a day and instead of jumping to 1mg 2x a day I do .5 3x a day. I'm currently trying to taper myself off, because I'm not trying to be on this shit for the rest of my life.
As cliche as it is, just remember that medications treat the symptom but not the problem. Good luck man.
Thank you for your input. I wont be able to get clonazepam like for the 10th time i this thread its getting cut out of the market here. I wish diazepam relieved anxeity......
