I just went to the doctor today and told my doctor I was concerned about the acetaminophen containing the 5/325 MG Norco I'm prescribed. So she suggested Vicoprofen 7.5/200 MG . she it contains ibuprofen instead of tylenol which is much better for my liver and wont cause damage. So I got a script for 90 7.5/200 MG vicoprofens. Now I do take them to get high sometimes and for pain. does anyone that takes Vicoprofen notice any difference in the high between them and norcos or lortabs? and also the vicoprofens seems really hard to chew or crush. can someone explain why? and also which one do you guys prefer vicodin/norco/lortab OR Vicoprofen ? also do they take the same 15 - 20 minutes to kick in as norco/vicodin?

PS. It was alot of trouble finding a pharmacy that carried them. finally i found one but they only had 81 so i gotta get the other 9 tomorrow.

I've had both & prefer the norcos.......the ibuprofen bothers my stomach & the high isn't as good as the norcos.

I'm the opposite with the Norcos they were hurting my stomach and making me puke, (and they gave me liver pain and damage, but i will admit i did take 20 in one day last month and on new years. never again. which is why i wanted to be switched to vicoprofen) but yeah the high was good. And I got an Okay buzz from taking 4 vicoprofen earlier but I'm not sure if the high is the same because I took suboxone last Saturday night to keep me from being sick until I went to the doctor, So that might have been the reason from the high not being as good for me. But one other thing the Vicoprofen seem to make me more drowsy. idk why. But honestly i don't get why they don't automatically prescribe Hydrocodone/Ibuprofen instead of Hydro/acetaminophen. all that shit does is ruin your liver over time. and If the vicoprofen makes your stomach hurt eat food with it. I've been on Norco or lortab since 2008. I'm 18 now was 12 when i was first prescribed them. So I probably did alot of liver damage over the years with over taking my pain meds.

I always eat about an hour before dosing my norcos for back pain.......the ibuprofen in the Vic's just doesn't do it for me.

Also, do you know how to do a CWE? No reason to pop 20 hydro's w/o doing a CWE......that way your liver stays healthy.

No point in me doing CWE anymore since I'm prescribed vicoprofen. I'm gonna stay away from tylenol for a longg time. Since my doctor told me I have "moderate Liver damage" but she says it will heal with in 2-5 months. And that is true because on new years this year i took 20 norco 10/325 at one time. I know it was stupid. I felt good for about 20 minutes then felt like i was dying. I was puking, shitting everywhere, was going numb, had a fever. Buy My parents thought I had a virus so I was relieved that I wouldn't get in trouble. But all in all I enjoy the vicoprofen 7.5/200 alot better. I can 6-8 of them and not worry about getting liver damage. just gotta watch out for my kidneys and with the vicoprofen my doctor gave me 90 of them and she put a 21 day supply. which i just took my last 3 now. so I'm gonna call her Next monday because that will be 21 days and tell her i need 30 for a week so I'll get 120 a month. And I'm not gonna get sick because I have alot of suboxone that was prescribed to me when I was gonna go on a tappering program but my primary care doctor said i still needed pain management. I have a scrip for 60 8-2 mg from a few months back. I've taken about 5 strips out of the whole thing. I usually just take a quarter and I have no withdrawals. But If i ever take norcos again I'll def do CWE . thanks

it is all hydrocodone, what makes the names from Norco, to Vicodin, to vicoprofen; is the combo with the hydrocodone, Norco is hydrocodone/acetaminophen. where vicoprofen is hydrocodone/ibuprofen. So when youhear people talk about Lortab, Norco, Vicodin, its all HYDROCODONE, with a difference of over the counter pain relievers mixed with it
