Before switching I read on here a hundred horror stories about precipitated withdrawal. I was scared to death. Well I lived it and its not that bad. I went to a doctor who gave me subs he said wait 48 hours I waited 72 to the point I was sick to death of myself and at 23 on COW scale. I took 4mg instantly the preciptated hit me. I was in the bathroom my whole body was contorting in pain I was hysterical I took 2 ativan passed out for 2 hours. Woke up covered in sweat chills took 4mg of sub again felt sick but fell right to sleep. Ive been taking 4mg ever since about every 2 hours and im finally done eith the methadone withdrawal. The precipitated barely lasted an hour and they're no way worse than general withdrawals from opiates. Ive detoxed once before on subs after 15 years of opiate use. I relapsed once at the time couldn't afford subs 4 months of going to a clinic ate my soul luckily I had a great friend who helped me get subs ill detox off them in 10 days and I know ill be uncomfortable but i earned it and need to feel some oain to remember what this was like. To all of you quick making excuses quit using subs to get high because eventually they'll be banned. People who truly struggle and fight not to be addicted to opiates will suffer greatly. Wake up youre an addict if youre on this board if not youre preparing to be. If losing your soul and sense of worth then go for it but dont cry later.
