SWIM has been on a two night coke bender and has work in a few hours

So, as it says in the title: SWIM has been up since Thursday when he/she woke up normally. This person began h/h coke party by his/herself Thursday night and went through the night, after they worked a half day on Friday (which h/s told me was not enjoyable, but not a huge problem) this person decided to continue the party into Friday night, forgetting that they had to go into the office for a few hours Saturday morning. This person is still enjoying h/h substance, but this person told me that h/s felt really spaced out and had trouble focusing. This person isn't sure if h/h boss will be in the office and this person told me they have plenty of energy (and will subsidize with a coffee or red bull as needed/ is safe), but h/s asked me if I knew a way to help h/h focus for 3-4 hours so h/s can get through this short stretch of work and then give him/herself a relaxed weekend with some herb to recover. This person does not have access to any perscriptions but they have more coke. However, the coke is not helping him/her focus, it only gives some energy as needed. Do anyone have any recommendations on what SWIM could buy from a pharmacy OTC to help h/h focus and get through 3-4 hours of relatively simple work though unfortunately with a significant amount of interaction with their work partner (who is not accepting of alternative entertainment) on this work project?
 
My bad if I broke a posting rule (written or unwritten). Should I not have used SWIM here? Sorry I'm not quite at the top of my game right now, so if you are feeling helpful let me know what I did wrong. Unless you are just messing with me?
 
Yea, I figured those were my two options. Thanks for the help. This should be an interesting next 4 hours. I thought about calling in sick or something but I've already called in sick twice in the past 5 months (not due to drugs or anything, but I wasn't sick either)...I don't think it would go over well if I did it again.
 
two days off is 5 months isn't a bad track record at all. if you're really that under the weather and there's more than a slight chance of running into a superior while you're in such a shitty way and likely to raise some suspicion without a decent back up plan or excuse then take the day off. especially if there's manual labour at hand which could put you or your co-worker at risk.

weigh up the pro's and cons. after all, it is only a single day off. let 'em know you'll work from home or put twice the effort in to catch up when you're "well" again. a dr's certificate makes it legit and they can't do shit about it in that case.
 
Caffeine and nicotine are really your only obtainable and legal options. Used right, they'll help. Nicotine patches are relatively effective for this purpose, even and especially if you don't smoke. If you CAN get it, ephedrine will help.

That said, sometimes drugs viewed as typically anti-stimulating can have stimulating effects. I find that low doses (nowhere near what you'd need to nod) of poppy seed tea are quite effective at helping you stay awake and functional. Low doses actually seem very stimulating.

I would try some coffee and a nicotine patch, and also dose (factoring lack of tolerance) 300-450mg of poppy seed tea. Normally I'd take kilograms to make a single brew, but low doses are the best for stimulating effects. It also lasts a good 8-12 hours, subjectively. You might want to give it a shot, it might help you similarly.

Don't worry, at a low dose it's not at all very sedating, but it increases your ability to stay awake, focused, and functional, for the period of the high.
 
These all sound like awful ideas to me. The OP is still high on coke. How is adding more stimulants like caffeine, ephedrine, a nicotine patch, etc going to help? That could easily make the situation worse! Also I doubt he can get poppy seed tea in time. I suggest eating something, drinking lots of water and calling in sick if you are that concerned.
 
Yeah I'm sure many of us have been in this situation or similar before... I used to go into work on Fridays after a Thursday night taking Ecstasy/MDMA and still be gurning my head off! As much as food would help it was the last thing on my mind as I'm sure Cocaine users dont feel the need to eat either.

I wouldn't usually encourage absense but it's probably the only sensible and safe thing to do as using any other substances wouldn't really help... Coffee is terrible advice.

Yeah, the only thing to do is to soldier through it and go to work. It won't be that bad. Just stay hydrated, more than you usually do, and also pack yourself a lunch and maybe a snack of fruit or vegetables.

When you're at the end of the end of the finish line with no shitty peripheral stimulation from the caffeine or ephedrine,you'll be so happy.
 
How about hardening the fuck up and pushing through a couple of hours on a Saturday. Do you think all those Gordon geckos on wall st have a problem focusing making deals after long liquid lunch with the boys? If you are so sketched that a small bump won't focus you enough to work a couple of hours then taking something else won't help either.

If you said you had to work a solid 8 hr shift I would probably feel sorry for you but this is not something you could have thought of when you decided to push on through a second day of fiending. Pay for the ticket, take the ride and quit being such a bitch about it. It's not like you are tripping balls while flying a plane for Christ sake.
 
I've had to work 10 hour shifts after a couple days on amphets. It sucked, but it is doable. You just don't do it anymore after a while because it is much more pleasant to not do it.
