I recently acquired 40 5mg IR oxycodones, no apap or anything just the oxy. Besides a few encounters, he is opiate/opiod naive. Whats startling is that, from 1120 am-9pm, he had consumed 72.5 mgs of this and is barely even getting high. I has been potentiating the pills with diphenhydramine and tums and mostly took them orally but at around 8 pm swallowed 20 mgs and snorted 5 mgs and has experienced very little, in fact he hasnt felt any euphoria from the drug today at all. Is this usual? :?

I'd be inclined to suspect the pills of being bogus... Have you looked up the markings on the pill online (google pill ID, there are a bunch of them) and confirmed that they're what you think they are? If not, make sure you haven't taken a dangerous dosage of whatever the fuck it is (post here if you're not sure).

If the pills are legit, your response is highly unusual - though taking not-enough-to-get-high throughout the day is usually not a very effective way to take a drug, I would expect a nearly-opiate-naive individual to be vomiting after taking 72.5mg within 14 hours.

I got them from the pharmacy himself, so they are legitimate. I snorted 10mg followed by another 12.5 mg about an hour later and felt good last Sunday, but it wasnt the euphoria or feel good sensation I read about. I then waited till today and swallowed 15mg with 25 mg of dihpenhydramine at 1120ish and another 15 about 2 hrs after that. I went to the gym at about 4 and waited till 9pm to take 45 mg orally with 5mg insufflated and 25mg of diphen. Last february I took 15 lortab 5/500 in a 5 hr period using a cwe and had similar dissatisfying results.

No, that is not usual for someone with no tolerance, although occasionally a person may have a really high natural tolerance or be lacking an enzyme needed etc, or if you are taking certain other drugs that can play a role. Certain opioids just don't work well for certain people, as our brains/bodies/metabolisms are all different. Your expectations for opioids may also be too high, it's kind of a subtle high that can be an acquired taste - however, if that was just the case, one would think you would still be experiencing side effects like passing out at the doses you took.

Have you had strong effects from opioids in the past?
If so, which opioid(s) was it?
Have you taken any other drugs recently (including OTC ones)?
Is today the first day you have taken these particular pills?

BTW, we don't use "SWIM" here :)

read the above post, and oops, sorry about the swimming in that case haha

Sorry, I posted that at the same time as you. What about the other stuff I said/asked though?

i answered most of them, and i hadnt taken any except for some supplements and the potentiators i listed. the only supplement that may have interfered is roxy lean, it has a ton of caffine and some other stuff but i used it when i went to the gym at 4. i included the gym part because i at least expected to be too lethargic and nauseous to workout but apparently i wasnt :p

could you make any suggestions for waiting and potentiating to get the most out of it without od'ing? i think i might not be getting the most out of them because because ill take a biggish dose and then wait to see what happens and do more :p im thinking ill wait 2 or 3 days and do 40 mg with some of the diphen

When I was younger and essentially opiate naive, the oxy ir 5s and 10s were around alot. I would snort/eat around 25-30mg and get VERY high. Im talking slurring, heavy nod, intense euphoria. So I don't understand how you can take so much an not feel much...

Opioid tolerance climbs rapidly. Not much you can do besides regulate your intake.

^tricomb: ufc987 is talking about being opioid naive and taking 72.5 mg of oxy in one day and barely feeling anything, not saying he has built up tolerance over time.

Oh so you've only taken an opioid once before, a long time ago, and you didn't feel much then either?

I know that several of the ingredients in Roxy Lean can interact with opioids.

If you try oxycodone again when you haven't taken Roxy Lean and it still doesn't do much, maybe oxycodone just doesn't work well for you. It's not unusual, our metabolisms of opioids are all different. For example, for me, certain opioids do nothing but cause side effects whereas others affect me strongly.

Oh wow.

@OP, do you feel anything at all? Could they have been fake pills? Did you identify them before ingesting them? What was the imprint/what was written on the pills?

It makes sense to me. You are taking large doses of caffeine (and what ever other stims are in those workout pills) and exercising on them. Your body is already producing the "feel-good" affects from the exercise, the stims are masking the opiates (downers [or CNS depressants]). This doesn't leave much room for the opiates to have an affect on your neurotransmitters, as they are probably fully saturated with natural endorphines and masked by the stims. Answer this, did you have extra energy at the gym that day? Often times hydro and oxycodone can have a stimulating type of effect on someone. I actually enjoy this part, as I am very happy with my prescription of just hydrocodone. I use them to relieve pain and help me get through the tough work days. The harder I work, the better I feel when I get home. I don't take them at night because they will keep me up... I am not an opiate naive person, and have used and abused in the past. Also, since they have yet to have a chance to build up in your system and also give a chance for your body to learn to metabolize efficiently, you may not really "feel" them like you expect to. Also, your expectations are based upon what you have read and heard, so this can really give you a false sense of expectation. Expectations (if at all formed) should be formed upon personal experience, rather than second hand experiences, such as word of mouth and literature. You have an idea in your mind of what to expect (based upon what you've read or heard) and are seeking out this manufactured feeling that you really don't know what it is. So, how can you ever know what it is that you are really seeking? :?
