my friend swalloed a plastic bag. will this cause any problems? soory if this isnt the right place to put this.

my friend is wondering if he will be ok or if medical attention is nessecary

Is it just a tiny plastic baggie? If it is small and there was nothing in it, it should be fine, it should just pass through the digestive system. Let us know if there is more to this story though. And if your friend gets any symptoms like stomach/abdominal pain or constipation he might want to go to a doctor, but normally a small piece of plastic will just pass through the digestive system and come out.

there was about 2gs of ketamine in the bag. he already shit out one that he shoved up his ass (not a good day for him if you could imagine). the size of the baggie was a bit bigger then what you might trypicaly get a dime of pot in.

If the bag doesn't get digested then it will just pass through his digestive system as others have mentioned. It won't be a pleasant experience when he shits it out, however. On the other hand, if the bag bursts while in his digestive system it would be a serious medical emergency. Another possibility is for the bag to get stuck in his intestines and causes a bowel obstruction, which is also a medical emergency.

"a big bigger then what you might typically get a dime of pot in" isn't a size. Could be any size. If the bag is of decent size your friend will need to seek medical attention ASAP.

the bag had a height of about 5cm and the length was 3cm give or a take.

It wasnt a big bag

typical bag then really. keep an eye on your friend. theres a big possibility that the 2g will get ingested if its the usual platic bags.

^This. Keep an eye on your friend until he, well, shits out the bag. If he starts feeling pain in his stomach or starts to feel like he's on ketamine, take him to emergency medical assistance.

he has qiute the k tolerance so i dont think hed be concerned if he got high from it. but overall would you kind folks at bluelight say that swallowing a plastic bag is relativly harmless?

the bag? yes probably. of course its gonna be different in each case but i think it should come out with no problems, but if there are any probs just take your mate to a & e.

The small intestine is, on average, 3cm in diameter, so while a small baggie would seem like no big deal going in, for your bowels it's considered big. Your small intestine deals with processed chyme (liquid) from the stomach, it doesn't deal well with solids.

Like others said... if he starts feeling intense abdominal pain or he vomits sour and unprocessed food not long after eating, it could mean an obstruction. So if that happens or he suddenly starts feeling high from K you need to get him to emergency a.s.a.p. Don't even think twice

The bag should normally be pretty harmless, it's the ketamine he should be more concerned about. Also the fact that the bag contains 2g of k means that it is going to bigger in size than an empty baggie. If he gets any adverse symptoms of an obstruction or of a ketamine overdose he should seek medical attention immediately. Don't leave him alone.

Provided the bag is small and the contents are dangerous....yes.

Did you mean to say "Provided the bag is small and the contents aren't dangerous....yes." swallowing a plastic baggie should be relatively harmless?

Well, I've seen dogs eat and shit out parts of plastic bottles, so a plastic bag SEEMS like it would pass smoothly, raising maybe only few eyebrows in small intestine area... But yeah, all the smart words have already been said here. Let your friend eat something, to maybe ease the process... Tom Kha Gai seems like something that would make the exiting quicker.

alright thanks alot guys<3 he went and saw a doctor and they basically told him the same thing. its probably just going to come out the other end. if it doesnt than it may cause an obstruction and he'll need medical attention.

once again thank you all at bluelight. and more specifically at BDD. And thank you mods for not closing this thread and thank you everyone whos posted in this thread with your good advice.
