SEVERN, Md. - Anne Arundel County Police arrested a 44-year-old man after finding PCP in his car following a crash.

According to police, an officer on patrol on the 7900 block of Telegraph Road in Severn saw a white van running in front of a home and approached to make sure the driver was ok.

As he walked towards the van the driver accelerated and drove through a field before hitting a flag pole and then crashing into a church.

The church, the Korean Church of Love at 1330 Donald Avenue, has some minor damage from the crash.

The driver, 44-year-old John Fox Adler, was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma for non-life threatening injuries.

Officers found Phencyclidine, known as PCP, and also saw evidence of alcohol in the vehicle.

There were no other passengers in the car and the church was also empty at the time of the accident.

It could be but I don't think there is reason to assume it is anything other then the much more common PCP unless otherwise reported..

I know that throughout Maryland and the Northeast there is a fairly large PCP scene. Mainly in larger cities, but it tends to travel, as with most drugs.
