Has anyone heard of someone, or are themselves faced with this kind of situation?
A very experienced drug user in general, mainly with psychedelics including several RC's with a greatly above average tolerance to those drugs in the tryptamine family? Here's what I've noticed:
Basically, mushrooms have little to no effect, even up to 6 grams dried nowadays, and even after abstaining from all hallucinogens (save marijuana) for several months prior.
4-aco-dmt requires upwards of 70mg oral to achieve a ++. When it was first tried, 40-50mg would do the trick, but now much higher doses are needed to get noticeable effects. 100mg has been ingested orally on several occasions, producing about as strong of a trip as 40 did back in the day.
Recently, DPT was tried out for the first time, with highly disappointing results. 50mg up the nose, and 30 min later driving a car could have been done with ease (just as a benchmark for level of impairment, of course no one drove). That was followed up by 25mg more administered by the same method approximately 45 min and 60 min after initial ingestion, still with only minimal effects felt.
This is a little frustrating because much higher doses seem to be required than dozens and dozens of trip reports would suggest. Quality isn't the issue, RC's come from a reliable vendor, and mushrooms are homegrown and several batches have been tested. Often several months pass between experiences or attempted experiences, and still no noticeable drop in tolerance. No medications nor vitamin supplements are taken, although Paxil was taken daily for about a year and a half, some 7 years ago.
Anyone have any ideas what could be behind all of this, or how to counter it?
