Summer Festivals of 2012

So ok, there are so many more festivals popping up every year, which i looooove ..but I mean, you could literally spend your entire summer traveling from one fest to the next and never have a dull moment! which is awesome. however, it's also SOO hard to decide which ones to go too!!


how do you break it down to figure out which ones to attend? obviously, it's about the music and who's playing but now a days there are so many other factors to experience within a festival that it's like.. woah! i do have to admit, the bigger festivals are now just a little too out of control for me.. as much as i'd love to go to coachella, it just is a bit overwhelming (plus like super far away from where i live). i prefer the smaller festivals that still attract badass artists!

who's going to what festivals this year and why? .. are there any new ones of this summer that just are going to blow your mind?

Hangout Fest is going to be amazing in May!! Skrillex, Dave Matthews Band, Red Hot Chili Peppers, String Cheese Incident, HEAVEN

ooh yeah I've heard of that, my friends have gone before!! it looks freaking awesome.. bands AND the beach! um what more could a girl ask for?!

unfortunately I live up North so I'm not sure if I can swing it.. which is a major bummer. I'm trying to figure out which ones to go to up here..

I'm hitting up Wakarusa. Pretty Lights, Girl Talk, Ghostland Observatory, Big Gigantic, Beats Antique, EOTO, Paper Diamond, Papadosio and a ton of others. I went last year and can't wait to get back again!!

Anyone in the NYC area? Catalpa Fest just popped up and they have already announced The Black Keys, Snoop Dogg, TV on The Radio, Umphrey's McGee...

camp bisco is definitely one i'm going to go to. it's going to be INSANE! I wish I could go to Rothbury this year.. I think that's happening this year again? But I don't know if I can make the road trip.

Yea Catalpa was one of the new ones i was checking out earlier!!! I was trying to decide between Firefly and Catalpa. Personally I like Catalpa's lineup better and they have some other crazy ass stuff going on there.. like a blow up church? wtf! hilarious.

and did anyone go to Coachella last weekend. How crazy is it that you can now watch almost any festival on TV from home?! Makes it suck a little less that I can't go to all of them.. cause I can watch the shows I want to see on freakin TV! insane in my membrane.

I had no idea Coachella consisted of two weekends this year, does anyone know if it's a whole new lineup for next weekend I guess?

It's actually the same artists for weekend 2.. so basically the entire festival all over again.I read an article about the reason they made Coachella 2 weekends. The creators wanted to offer the experience to more people but didn't want to up the amount already going in one weekend.. so they decided to just have the festival twice. It's crazy. First time any festival has ever done that.

Austin Psych Fest

Anybody? Hows the austin,tx scene for these turn out. Also i used to gosee WSP at orange bbeach and there was the swampfest the origin at the hangout bar i have a nice trafficking cocaine charge from last year they have a competittion to make the biggest bust hoing down i was 500+ miles in and 36 miles from my hotel fuck that i got pulled literally told i was pulled " tovask about the festival we saw your. Grateful dead head skulls what band u seeing" the PTI pre trial intervention can be used there as i used mine in sc already even for felony. Serious bluelighters hangout is a trap after panic left their 4/20 run and swampfedt. Bay minnette county is horrendous due to police. At the pti roll calls there were 70+ festival attendees caught in transit to gulf shores. Fuck alabama i hope the tide rolls over and washes that place fucking away.
