Protracted benzodiazepine withdrawal syndrome most certainly is not "just in your head." It may be for some, but that is hardly the case in general, and is quite insulting to insinuate that those whom are sharing their experience of said syndrome that it is more than likely a somatic disorder. I've long since completely recovered from what was a relatively short stay in benzodiazepine withdrawal (3 months), and have moved on, but do remember how it felt. It is a real syndrome.
burn out- It is good to see you around. However, I am sorry that you had a relatively long run with heroin again. I would say just force yourself out there, and whatever happens, happens. I was kicked out after not working for 17 months, and eventually got back to a good place once I adjusted to the new stresses of going to work, school, etc. It took a good 2-3 months until I settled in, though depression set in. That requires a new strategy. Exercise helps, sorta, so does finding a s/o to an extent. I think that is something everyone deals with to some degree however. Some drink on the weekends, some cheat on their spouses, some take pharmaceuticals, some take up hobbies, some work out obsessively, some do it all. However, its usually never quite enough. Feeling satisfied with oneself is one of the hardest parts of life. It is doable, but it is transitive; in which case you try something different, to maintain some essence of novelty. Feel free to pm me anytime man if you're bored, it's been a while.
