This is my first post on the site, though I've been reading for years, and I chose the topic due to it's apparent controversy. I have read numerous accounts that loperamide did in fact get you high, always followed by about 50 posts from people completely discrediting the claim based on the BBB and their interpretation of the research. It seemed to me that most of the people discrediting the accounts hadn't tried it and followed with insults and jokes at the poster's expense. I am an experienced opioid user, though only moderately, and I'm not some kid clamoring for a high, I was just curious about the prospect of an OTC opioid. I know this topic has been covered many times, and I will keep the experience short. I took an oral dose of 96 mg's of loperamide and it compared to something like MS contin. Enhanced mood/light euphoria, warm arms, itching, ect. Why is it that a post like this will undoubtedly get a bunch of dudes telling me that I'm full of shit, and that it doesn't cross the BBB, which to my understanding isn't even accurate, it's not a matter of if something crosses, but how much. Yes, 96 mg is 48 pills, so 2 mg plus some gross filler, and it cost me one day of shitting, followed by a gigantic normal one the following day (sorry, I know that's sick), which is on par with oxy and hydro, they do the same thing to me. I'm not saying it's the best high in the world, but it is most definitely a high that produces euphoria. It's not placebo, I'm too old and experienced for that shit. Again, my tolerance is not that of an elephant, but I have taken my fair share of oxy, hydro, methadone, morphine ect. Maybe I'm wrong and I'm reading a bunch of old posts, in which case I apologize for wasting everyone's time, I am just curious as to why so many folks just tell people they can't be high, it's all in their head, when it is apparent that either they haven't tried it or only used it for WD's. How come so many people discredit something they've never tried? Thanks for reading, sorry if this is simply rehashing similar posts, feel free to remove it if so, and flame on, I know some of you will.
