Subwoofer

see that piece of furniture right there? that was my old subwoofer i bought back in the 20th century - that thing was great

i can always just return it too if it doesn't work for me right?

fuck it i think im gonna grab the polk

dude that cerwin vega was boss and i had it for years - it eventually ripped and i tossed it and never got a new one...i think i had it until about 2010

so what im gathering, is that it doesn't matter which one i use, powered or passive....since im hooking up to the receiver

would you guys agree with that?

ya know tho....i think the original cerwin vega that i had probably lasted so long because it was passive - so no amp to burnout inside it

If you use a passave sub and dont have a sub out channel on your receiver/ amp you need to hook it to the b of the a/b channels

Its heats up the receiver more but will work

I think passive sound better if youre not going for giant sound
especially if you go with 2 x size of your (bose) drivers

right - what im reading sounds like there's more balance too when you go passive ....and no im not looking to recreate DJ Magic Mike's sound or anything

@w01fg4ng i bet you remember this song....i lived in FL for a short period while that song was the big hit in 1990...pretty sure that's the only song i heard for 2 months straight
