It's been a while since I last posted, to provide some background and info I am an ex heavy user of oxycodone which at my peak I would consume on average 400mg/day via insuffilation.
I then decided I need to take a break so I entered into an outpatient detox Dec 2011 using suboxone and have remained on Buprenorphine maintance, I worked my way from 16mg to 2mg over a course of 3 weeks, then I transferred to a different clinic which I was able to use subutex to reduce lower and i am currently at 1.6mg using (4x 0.4mg) tablets. I have done and been able to go with 0.4mg insuffilatted which would hold me for a day I have even gone without for upto 3days without problems, I know after maintanice the buprenoprhine withdrawals take time to start etc, but I digress.
Now, to my questions and sorry if I ranted but I would like to know if taking my dose which I do in the morning and say restrict it to 0.4 or 0.8mg and then using some oxycodone would the bupe block or aid in potentiating as from my reading at these low doses Buprenorphine is more an aganosit than antagonist?
I would also like to confirm that if I say did the following I'd avoid precipitated withdrawals:
7:00-8:00am - Take my dose of subutex 0.4/0.8mg
10:00am - 10:00 pm - Take small bumps of oxycodone 15mg etc
The aim would be to do this every now and then and then returning to my normal regime of subutex I assume it would be sufficient time between 10pm and 7am to take the subutex without going into precipitated withdrawals?
I would also assume that buprenorphine from the previous morning would still be bound to my receptors due ti its affinity to receptors i would ensure that i would also take my subutex to maintain its presense in my body to avoid precipitated withdrawls.
Also I will be using the oxycodone by defeating its time released and insufilation.
I would appreciate the input of people with knowledge or experience. I also understand that some will say that the purpose of subutex is to not get high and I respect their opinions but am looking for confirmation or correction to my way of thinking.
