Subutex dosing question

Hey bluelight users. So tomorrow I might get an 8mg Subutex, and I was just wondering if it's safe for me to take all at once. I weigh around 280 lbs. Thanks in advance.
 
What is your tolerance like to other opioids? Subutex is very potent, and a lot of people get sick due to underestimating its potency.

0.25mg of sublingual subutex is roughly equivalent to 10mg oral morphine to give you an idea of its potency. Along with being very potent, it is unique in that the pleasant effects don't really increase with the dose, but the unpleasant side effects do. For that reason most people that take it recreationally take a low dose of 1mg or less (2mg if they have a decent tolerance, and 4mg if they have a high tolerance).

It is not a good drug to take with no tolerance or a low one since so many people end up getting nauseous from it, but if you are set on taking it then I would recommend taking 0.25mg. Keep in mind that it takes a while to peak, so don't re-dose thinking it hasn't hit you yet if you aren't where you want to be after a half hour or so. I would wait a good hour before taking more if you feel you need more, and for me it takes almost 3 hours to peak.
 
I don't really know where my opiate tolerance stands, as I've used plenty of opiates but not in very close time periods. I can drink a 6 oz bottle of codiene/promethazine and slightly keep the nods away though, so I feel like my tolerance might not be that low.
 
Codeine is one of the weakest opiates, so I would consider your tolerance very low. Is their any other opioid you use, and at what dose if you do?

I would recommend 0.25mg in your case. Break the pill into 8 pieces (1mg each) and then take 1/4 of that piece, placing it under your tongue to allow it to dissolve.
 
I've used a lot of hydrocodone (max would be 40 mg), with my last use of it being about 5-6 days ago. Plenty of tramadol use in the past, and I tried heroin once. I know codiene is weak, I just used it as a reference because I believe every 100 mg is equivalent to 10 mg morphine (at least according to the chart I saw). So lets say I could take 30 mg of morphine and not die lol.
 
1mg would still be equivalent to a higher dose than you have ever taken, so I recommend trying either 0.25 or 0.5mg, and waiting an hour to see how you feel. If you think you need more than increase the dose by 0.25mg after a good hour or so. 40mg of hydrocodone is still weak compared to subutex.
 
It's good that you asked, some people make that mistake thinking it's just one pill, but it's a super potent one. You'll be sick for a couple of days if you take it. Even 1mg may be too much, 0.25-0.5mg is good.
 
If you don't have a pretty signifigant tolerance to opiates, 8mg's of bupe will rock you. I've seen people who don't use opiates regularly take literally a tiny little piece of an 8mg strip and be puking their guts out, eyes pinned, sweating.. The shit is very strong and dangerous if not used properly and cautiously.
 
I always make sure to find out how a drug will affect me, I'm smart with my usage. Erowid is my best friend lol. Anyways, I ate a nice meal and ate a piece of it about an hour ago. I feel fine for now, let's hope it stays that way.
