subutex and painkiller on top

I have normal pain and i take 1.5mg subutex a day. Im pretty sure that this low dose only blocks like 30-50% of receptors. If i take a painkiller like 10mg lortab on top will i be ok, or will it be
potentiated a fuck load and make me od.

ANYONE have experiences treating themselves with low doses of painkillers while on subbies?

I want to dose 10mg of hydro on top for pain and just want to make sure i dont OD or fucking freak out thinking i will.

I have experience with it, and I find that most of the time the subs block any other opiate I try to use. Plus 10 mgs is a low dose of hydrocodone so you may find it does not break through if you choose to try it. If you are nervous that you will OD I would side with caution, but the choice is yours. You know your body best. Good luck I know pain can be tricky!

My personal experience is that buprenorphine (in subs) blocks the effects of painkillers. Yes, a lower dose is less likely to, but I'd be very surprised if it didn't at least have a dampening effect... your best bet is just to wait til the buprenorphine has worn off really.. or give it a try and see, you may be lucky and you might get some analgesic effects.

You would be very unlucky to OD on 1.5mg subutex and 10ng hydrocodone.

4mg of buprenorphine is often considered the full blockade dosage. You need to remember as well that your tolerance is quite high from using 1.5mg per day, which depending on bupe's half life for you can easily build up to two or three times that.

If you are looking to try and help with the pain your best bet would be non-opioid action like NSAID, gabapentin, tramadol, etc. As for getting high as effie said taking a break from bupe to get high on full agonists is recommended, or I suppose you could just taking more than 10mg of oxycodone to overcome your tolerance and any small amount of blocking but then you are heading towards the higher and more dangerous doses.

I wish there was more info on taking Subs/hydro or Hydro/subs. Ive been searching for days with a Sub question and all I can find is (I'm not sure) or (Try it and see) Suboxone is fairly new so theres not alot of Truths out there, just alot of Guesses. Even the Mega Threads are alot of rambling.The general idea is to wait until your in withdrawl from another opiate before you take Suboxone so you dont get the dreaded Precipitated Withdrawl. But what if your NOT addicted to the "Other" Opaite how than could you get PW? Even people with 5,000 posts dont have a clue.
