Subutex and Nausea ?

Hey homeless mods, posting here in homeless because I am not sure where to post but... here goes

So I am kicking a .5 g a day heroin habit (smoked on foil), and am taking subutex to ween off of the dope.

I am prescribed 8mg tablets, and am recommended to take 4mg by my doctor every morning for now; but I take 2mg: it seems to be more than enough to remove w/d .

But, a strange nausea seems to hit me about two or three hours after I dose. It almost feels like the Nausea one gets when on too high of an opiate dose. It also has a little feeling like the spins when you are drunk, but very slightly. But, what confuses me is, how can 2 mg of sub be stronger [make me more sick (stronger than dope?)] than what I was taking around 1/2 g of pretty good tar?

Has anyone had any experience with strange nausea from subutex similar to mine ? Specifically subutex (due to no naloxone; I have heard reports of people receiving strange side effects from the naloxone present in suboxone, and my problem has arisen soley from buprenorphine.)

It is very frustrating because subutex and suboxone help so much to relieve my W/D sypmtoms, but this lightheaded nausea shit is getting to me. Thank you !

Buprenorphine is a VERY potent opioid...try waiting and dont take a dose until you start to get dope sick, then try taking 1mg and see how you feel an hour or 2 later, if you need more then try going up by very small doses.
 
Nausea on buprenorphine is a fairly common side effect unfortunately. It is often attributed to the naloxone but a switch from suboxone to subutex usually doesn't help ;)

I'm afraid that really the only advice we can give, besides directly treating the nausea of course, is too try lowering your bupe dose.
