***Substance of January and now February!!: Ibogaine

Well folks, I ingested 730mg of ibogaine HCL last night at about 8:00PM and here I sit about 14 hours later still feeling the residual effects--and reflecting on perhaps the most profound experience in my life.

I'm going to put together a TR as soon as I can. It might take a few days, even a week, but there's a lot to talk about.

Very interested. I hope it went well friend :)

I just wanted to check in and let you know that my TR is about half done. I want to make it as complete as I can so it will add as much as possible to the meager collection of personal experiences with ibogaine we have here at BL.

Looking over lightofiboga's TR, I'm finding uncanny similarities with regard to effects and duration. Undoubtedly this has something to do with the fact that we took nearly identical dosages.

On the other hand, there are some significant differences as well, not the least being that I seem to be one of the few who is actually looking forward to his next encounter with Iboga. :)

Me either. I'm starting to realize that I have a problem. But I have cronic pain and unfortunatley I feel dependant on any narcotics. My doctors only give me small amounts because I don't feel the pain everyday. But they should know that I feel dependant and I get the dopesickness all the time. I'm going to try surgery first and I know that I'll get post-op meds, I hope that after the pain is gone from the surgery I can finally be done with that habit and get a hold on some things. I know that my family and friends are concerned about me. I know there is a difference in dependance and addiction, but in some cases like for me a dependence can quickly lead to an addiction when something makes you feel so good, you just want to feel better and better. but it makes you feel worse. People in public or at work ask if your'e fucked up and geez. Its brought back my depression and anxiety. I feel like a freak. Or a reject from society. I've considered this Ibogaine as an option if the surgery doesnt help me after reading these reports, Ive seen the banner at the top of the homepage as well for the clinic. Bluelight has been a favorite in my history of drug use, its helped me learn and research on everything I tried. I am all for harm reduction.

This is my 100th post!

^^^^ You're not a freak, man--get that outta your head right now. :)

You're dealing with chronic pain and the way it's being treated seems to be inadequate. Hopefully your surgery will partially or fully resolve the pain issues so you can reduce or eliminate the drugs required to make you comfortable.

In any event, most of us like the feeling opiates induce when they're prescibed for pain. In most cases, the euphoria is a beneficial side effect that allows the patient to sleep and recover from the injury that causes the pain (though this is a rare attitude in Amerika where mom and apple pie should in and of itself induce euphoria without needing drugs from Arab countries to do it ;) ).

Stating the obvious, problems relating to tolerance and dependence can arise when the pain is chronic. It's possible that periodic ibogaine treatments could reduce your tolerance and therefore lower your daily painkiller dosage.

If it's a medical dependance, stop beating yourself up over it as you're being prescribed it for a reason (being catholic I'm an expert on guilt & it's whacky ways!) ie fuck off pain.

If you want your tolerance lowering, a taper to lower levels while using ket seems a better idea

i read in the first trip report that he bought it in Canada

Definitely a great choice for a focus substance. That's one I haven't done myself and would only do it if I was going to do it in a totally relevant situation/safe place. Ancient legendary stuff right there... I know of some awesome trip reports/long stories about that I will paste when I get home. One guy went to a country in Central Africa and reported his experience doing it with the locals in a hut/tribe community in a ritual. Intense stuff..

*p.s. glad you're getting out of the house so much Beenhead. Have been gone on small vacation myself too (which is why you guys havent seen me too often in these parts the last month)

I was thinking DOM but 2C-P might yield more results. I started working on March's substance late yesterday and I think I'll finish it up quite soon. :)

Sorry guys, I was working on this but it spawned an idea for a way to totally redefine the way trip reports and classified and make them far more searchable. And then it was the weekend and I had things to do. But I'll get to it tomorrow. :)
