substance abuse help chicago area

anyone from chicago visiting the forum, can help finding a reliable cheap place for substance abuse help, a doctor to help out. all the places i called ask for health insurance and/or charge extremely high. some dont take new patients, others take a long time to set appointment, point is, i cant find affordable place its my biggest problem. any idea, plz

^ google is killing me. so many damn confusing results. on each page, more results than not lead to useless information websites and the ones that i did like, i called and were really expensive and/or not reliable as in some do not even take new patients wtf

bagochina, whats the reason for recommending her if you dont know the price ? i mean, sure she might be real good reliable, but thats exactly what i dont want, high prices edit i did call but after working times i guess ill try tomorrow

i dont know any rehab/detox/methadone clinics but i would htink the cheapest ones would be on the westside or southside...look for places in the heart of the ghetto would be my suggestion

whats your tolerance like? how much do you use and why sare you wanting to go in?

i ask because you might think the clinics are expensive but think about the dope you use and how much you spend on that? im sure you can afford the 75-100$/ week the methadone clinic might charge...i will say again i never have been to a 'done clinic or any otherrehab place, so i dont know how much it coists, it was just a guess.. i just traded dope for subs with a friend and for everybag of dope he would give me three 8mg subs..so not a bad trade considering i would buy a jab and by doing that im technically getting 4bags for free, so i would get high and have a bunch extra and be able to trade a couple left over free bags for subs. the only shditty thing is they are the orange 8mgs and they are the nastiest thing ive ever tasted

what kind of place are you exactly looking for... a clinic, a private doc?? methadone/suboxone? and are you in the city.. n. s. or w.side??

this place is centrally located at lake and ashland. their intake is 100 and then 40/week, they should also be able to get you in pretty quick with in a week or so most likely. also might not be a bad place to ask for other options if it is too far.

unless you have a spicific method in mind and are set on doing this, i dont feel like a "i want suggestions on where to go but i dont really know what i want, so i want your help"..IMO i have very littlke hope that someone will get clean being that nonchalant about where they wanbt to go get help..if you have a dope habit that is deep enough to make you need to go somewhere to get help it and with the WDs, then you can more then likely scrape up the cash to get help

if i were you i would go for bupe treatmeant..ive said it a million times that i dont feel like methadone clinics are the way to truly get clean, your just trading one opiate for anopther...one high for another. with bupe you cant get high on it and really abuse it, plus i always feel like bupe has an antidepressant qualities that actually make you feel almost like you never used in the first place. like your sick and you pop one under your tongue and you feel like shit for an hour and then you slowly realize that "hey i feel pretty good, im not sick anymore and i totally forgot about it"...some people dont like bupe cause they are expecting to get a buzz of of it like 'done and thats just not how it works;. bupe is great for people who have work early in the morning and wake up feling like shit cause you can pop one when you wake up(i used to prefer to pop mine at niight so i wouldnt risk waking up feeling like shit inb the morn) and by the time your walking out the door your feeling like a million bucks . with 'done if you dont make it to the clinic in the morning good liuck with the rest of your day cause you will be going to be callin your dope man to ge that sick off

I was wondering of anyone knew any free clinic/sliding scale type places for subs, my insurance don't cover and I can't afford visits with private docs..I just lost my first job and currently have no incorrect, only a couple hundred in the bank.i been living at friends places for food and. Cause they throw doen and help keep the sick away..I live on the northside near depaul and the LIncoln park zoo but I figure all there is is private docs here buy I have a car..also I have a Valium script but can't afford my psychiatric visits , is there a free clinic I could fill the script at to WD on? Anyone who can help ? I'd rather not do done..thx

Try NAMI @ Chicago and Ashland. May not be what you're looking for but they helped me when I lived across the street from Rothschilds. Ask for Olga, she's a good person.
