Currently doing a quick detox off opiates with subs. Will be done in 3 days. My question is this... My restless legs never go away even on subs. If I were to take 1 30 mg oxy to help the RLS, will I have to wait 24 hours again to take my sub dose? Or no because the sub never let the opiate in to begin with?
Thanks

As far as I know, you can´t have both although oxy would ease down your restlessness quite quickly.
But then, when would you be able to use subs? Maybe you would have to quit and add 24 hours to your suffering..
Can you try to get some Valium and/or Xanax to make it a little easier on you discomfort?
If you are going off opiates, try to go all the way to avoid having to go through this over and over again.
Wish you luck!

Benzos, potassium, nothing works to cure the RLS and it's the worse part for me. Only thing I'm suffering from at the moment. My detoxes are thankfully very quick. Just wish I can know about my question. I know the suboxone blocks the oxy, but I still get RLS relief from it. But does this mean I need to wait 24 hours to take my sub dose again? 12hr? Don't have to wait at all? Someone please answer

So how long have you been taking the subs? Just wait until you are starting to feel the mild withdrawal symptoms and take the sub....But if you wait 18-20 hours you should be fine....Hope this helps

Yoga that focuses on stretching your legs helps a lot.
Gabapentin works wonders for this and is easy to find in people's medicine cabinets (if you don't have it yourself, but ASK don't STEAL!!)
Imodium can also help but this is because it is an opioid and can prolong the withdrawals if done incorrectly (amongst other problems, if done incorrectly!!!)
Stay away from Diphenhydramine.. IME: it can cause you to be drowsy but exacerbate RLS which is the WORST when you are chemically drowsy and you cannot sleep and your legs are on twice as rampant. This tends to happen with me on antihistamines...

No do not take the oxy for one it wont do anything if youve been taking subs and two it could possibly send you into withdrawal next time you take your subs. Gabapentin, lyrica, xanax klonopin will work much better and not interfere with the subs. If you insist n taking an opiate make it tramadol or nucynta (tapendadol?) They for some reason work while you are taking suboxone I can tell you that from experience. A third option would be get some seroquel take like 50mg (the more you take the less sedating) and that should have you out for a good nights rest.
