So I am new to this website read a bunch of blogs from it but never posted. But I hneed some answers to anyone that can help me out. I use heroin but this morning couldn't get anything but had a 8mg suboxone sublingual film I took it and it kinda made me a little shitty feeling. A little bit later I got some heroin and so I used and I am still feeling shitty and so I did some more and stillnot feeling so great. I mean I am not like straght up in detox or feeling really bad but I am not feeling like I think I should. I know that you suppose to wait til you are sick or like 24 hours b4 taking suboxone or it will put you in withdrawals but I want to know about doing drugs right after you take suboxne. Does it block everything for 24 hours or is it going to put me in withdrawlsbc I took the suboxone??? Just need some answers to anyone that has some input on this. Hopefully u understand what I am trying to ask???? Thanks y'all!

You are correct, if you take buprenorphine (in Suboxone) after heroin it can throw you into precipitated WDs, you need to wait until you start feeling properly sick - usually at least 24 hours.

The other way round (bupe then heroin) doesn't have a risk of precipitated WDs but you still need to wait a while or you won't feel much from the heroin. Buprenorphine has a higher receptor affinity than heroin, so the h can't displace it. As buprenorphine's half-life is so long (20-70 hours) most people need to wait at least 24 hours, probably 48 hours or even more to get the full effects.

suboxone will block everything anywhere form 12-96 hours depending on how much suboxone youve been taking everyday and how many days in a row youve been taking the suboxone
