For the past 5 days, I have been taking about 1mg worth of suboxone a day. I know this is fairly low but I'm also aware of how powerful it is...should I expect any real withdrawal symptoms? (Trying to avoid taking off time from work)

you should be fine, ive taken it roughly that many days in a row in higher doses and was fine. maybe a bit of fatigue but nothing serious

1mg is actually not a low dose, considering buprenorphine is extremely potent that for pain it's dosed in micrograms (Temgesic comes in 0.2mg and 0.4mg) you took a moderate dose for five days straight, that's definitely enough for withdrawals. Buprenorphine has a long half-life, so much so that doses stack on top of eachother in the bloodstream even after the desired effects have worn off.

thats definitely not enough for "real" withdrawals in my experience... the fact that it stacks and stays in longer just makes it easier to quit after a few days cause it lasts so long; The transition back is a lot smoother than short acting opiates...

This is just my opinion I'm not starting a debate please;

still 5 days will not cause physical withdrawals u should be fine... Unless ur mind craves the "high"

After a pretty heavy opiate binge lasting a few months I used about 3-4mg sub a day for a week and then had no subs for 3 days. Over those 3 days I experienced extreme fatigue, nausea, anxiety, etc. I could not eat and had difficulty sleeping at all.
