Suboxone W/D Question

I've been prescribed suboxone for about a year now, and as of late its become too big of a hassle. The drug itself works well, its kept me away from opiates, grants me peace of mind and lets me live a normal life. Except for all the hoops I have to jump through just to get the next months prescription. For one thing I live 2 hours away from the clinic I go to (its the closest one with a suboxone program), I have to pay $75 for each months visit, $75 for each urine test and about $150 for 8, 8mg suboxone tablets. My insurance decided to stop covering suboxone AND the urine tests a few months ago. I'm starting my 6th year of college in a few days and I cant keep this up, the money issues alone are enough to force me to stop.

So here's my question, I've decided to stop (I'll run out tonight or tomorrow, I've been eating about half of a pill per day for the last 6 months and more in the months previous) and I realize I've got a month or two of bad withdrawal ahead of me. I've got three 10mg methadone pills... http://www.drugs.com/imprints/m-57-71-5107.html ....and I was wondering how I should use them so they last as long as possible. I've never even done methadone and I was wondering if you're able to snort it. If not how much would I have to eat for relief... would I have to eat a whole 10mg pill or even more for relief? They seem so small.....

Ehhh those methadones aren't going to do hardly anything but give you maybe a day or two of relief from 30-60 days of withdrawal symptoms, and at 4mg of sub per day you're going to feel pretty shitty if you abrubptly stop.

My advice would be to take however much sub you have left and break it all up into 1mg doses, and taper off that way. It'll save you a lot of suffering, trust me. I jumped off at around 2mg once and the first week was the worst, but still nothing compared to withdrawaling off of dope. But nonetheless its a pain in the ass and having to endure over a month of feeling completely lethargic with only a few hours of sleep per night takes its toll on you. Sub withdrawal isn't relatively severe but it's persistent and lengthy as fuck and wears you down after awhile. Definitely taper if you can.

I'm aware the methadone wont offer hardly any relief, the main part of my question is whether or not I can snort them..

I have little more than a small amount of crushed up suboxone I'm gonna snort probably tonight if I cant sleep... so I know I'm screwed regardless =( just wondering whether or not you can snort methadone or would that just be wasting it.

Yeah I dunno if snorting the 'dones will do much, someone else who's tried it before will have to chime in on that. Personally, I would eat them to get the most long lasting effects and to help you through the worst few days of the first week.

No you shouldn't snort the methadone, not only will it burn like hell, it'll be an absolute waste. You'd be better of getting one more script and use it to taper off which will drastically reduce the wds.
