Opioids Suboxone Strip and Oxy with Low Tolerance

Ok so I would have what would be classified as a low tolerance for opiods. Do em a couple days a week not everyday. Anyway I was planning on staying stoned all day today w/ about 75mgs of oxy I have. Anway I was kinda drunk and made the dumb move of taking one of those orange 8mg Suboxone strips that a friend gave me last night. For someone like me w/ not the highest tolerance would it still be a complete waste of time to bang those oxys today after say 12-18 hours or would it be a waste? Also is there anything I could do that would help the oxy hit me harder. I saw similar threads in here that said 36 hours but that seemed to be from people that take suboxone regularly? Thanks for any help.

Basically I started this new thread because this was my first time taking suboxone and wasnt sure if it mattered and I would be able to get high after waiting a shorter period of time.

And since I wanted to achieve some sort of high today would I be better off just taking another sub strip?

Don't take another sub strip, or you will raise you're tolerance. You might be able to get high off of 75mg of, oxy, I'd bet you'd feel about 80% of its effects, as suboxone only works well as a blocker with chronic dosing (or at least that's my experience). I'd try to wait it out another day I'd possible, just to make sure you don't waste the money

I'd wait at least 2 days and you still won't get the full effects

That's really only true for chronic buprenorphine use. After two days I would be the OP would have no problem feeling the oxy

Exactly-if I took suboxone once in a great while, because I didn't want to get sick, or couldn't aquire something else, usually I could go back to taking heroin or oxy the next day- which was my normal most everyday habit, without really any blocking effects from the suboxone; because it wasn't built up in my system.
If you took the sub once, it doesn't have as much of a chance to have the strong effects and blocking abilities as it would for someone on sub maintainence. You should be fine takin your oxy the next day-as long as your dose of sub the day before was more like in the morning than just the night before -that's when you might want to wait a bit longer. Careful fun now!
