Suboxone Re-Induction Question...Can I do it?

Hey everyone. A little background. I...uh, Herbert has been on suboxone maintenance for quite some time, and poor homie recently relapsed, and I want to know if he still has to wait in order to get back on suboxone in order to avoid Precip. W/Ds.

~I write this at about 10AM
~Yesterday at around 1:30PM, Herbert shot a fat *no prices* of raw, felt a decent rush. He felt mildly ill before doing so.
~The days before, for about one week, he was taking 12mgs of suboxone at around 11am each morning. The day before yesterday he took just 8mg at about 11am.
~Before that one week, he was using for about 5 days, a *no prices* to 2 *no prices* a day (1-2 shots) he induced himself after waiting 24 hours after his last shot with 12mg and it was successful.
~AND before that 5 days of use, he was on suboxone for about a month without incident.

IT has been going on like this, off and on for short amounts of time, for the past few months...but even if he slip for one day (like yesterday), he always assume he has to suffer and prolong himself into moderate withdrawal to avoid PWs. One reason is because in the past Herbie was impatient and used suboxone too soon, although he was ill, (apparently not ill enough :\) and he ended up experiencing the PW Hell. Since then, he has made sure he was moderately to severely in withdrawal before he induced again.



So my basic question is, if one is steady on suboxone, and slips with just one shot, one day, do they still have to wait until moderate severe withdrawal to re-take suboxone? If that is the case, since Herb isnt feeling all that sick right now even though its at the 21 hour mark, should he keep waiting? Or is he not feeling THAT sick because the suboxone is still in his system since the half-life is around 20-70 hours, averaging 36ish? If its within that timeframe, would it not be safe to take suboxone again without risking PW? I feel at the 24 hour mark Herb still wouldnt feel those symptioms he recognizes as mod-severe withdrawal, so otherwise he would keep waiting, maybe until later tonight, although he already feels the sickness....

Help Herbert Please :|

Doesnt anybody know, and want to prevent a guy from going through precipitated withdrawals? come on guys

If you are on suboxone regularly, and use for one day, there will be no risk of PWs and you can just take suboxone the next day.
 
You aren't going to get into any trouble by saying that you used drugs, the herbert analogy isn't necessary and it breaks da rulez.

just wanted to make sure i wasnt breaking the rules by talking about myself, but now that i know its fine, herbert can go about his business

okay so I ended up taking 12mgs around noon, and it worked like a charm ;)

thanks for the boost in confidence about taking it now. i might have ended up waiting til i felt even sicker, like in the evening time

Not a problem just try and ween down that dosage. Once you're around 2mg the sub will actually feel like it gets your higher, in all seriousness.
