Opioids Suboxone Question

I was prescribed Suboxone today. 8mg twice a day via sub lingual film. I have only taken one, at 3pm today. I have 4x 10mg methadone that I would like to take, just to get a good opiate high for the last time. I was wondering how long the Suboxone will bind to my opiate receptors and block other opiates?
I've heard it has a 50% half life in which after 24 hours it would be down to 4mg (half of 8mg), 48 hours it would be down to 2mg, 72 hours it would be down to 1mg, etc. I've heard that it's best after 72 hours but I think around 40 hours would be sufficient considering that I have only taken it once. I do not plan on taking it tomorrow because I would like to take the methadone the day after tomorrow when I wake up assuming I'll be in withdrawals. Let me know when ya'll think would be a good time.

if you took 1 8mg and thats it, heres how it goes for me.

18 hours later you could take methadone and get 20% high.

28 hours - 50% high.

36 - pretty high (but withdrawals beggining)

48 hours - 70% high

72 hours - normal high
 
I guess my best bet would be 48 hours if I can even hold out that long without taking them. I have a very fast metabolism, does that help at all ? I also have very low body fat, like 7%.
 
i'm speaking from experience from when i was 18. i also have a very fast metabolism and zero body fat.

but good luck holding out for 48 hours.
 
whoa.. never do methadone then bup.
If youve already been thru induction,the hardest part, you really should just stay on the subs.
But, if you just aren't doing that no matter what:

Your problem isnt how long towait, problem will be when you take your sub again.You can wait 2 days after a methadone dose, be in full WD, and still get PWD from a sub dose. never do methadone then bup.
Best bet, go sell your methadone and buy some dope for your last time. Just remember, if youre saying its your last tme, it usualy means its not.

Also unless youre doing 5 bundles, or grams, a day, 16mg/day of bupe is way too much
 
I've actually noticed that if you have bupe in the background, you can switch to other opioids for one to three days and then switch back to bupe with no PWD no matter how early you take it. I mean like get high, then three hours later pop bupe no problem.

but thats when i was addicted to the bupe (been on it more than ten days). after one use who knows, PWD is suicidally terrible.
 
Yes you can switch, but bupe dose has to be small <1mg (less if IV). I always waited 10 hours in those situations too.
Your dose was 8mg and you don't want to try switching with methadone either.
 
I agree with what the others have said so far.

Methadone is the last drug you want to take before switching to bupe. Trade the methadone for another opiate or something. Your last high would be like a 5 day process from you waiting to be able to get the dose the methadone and get a good high from it, and then waiting another 3 days after the methadone to be able to dose the bupe again. Not worth it.

Also, 16mgs of suboxone is usually unnecessary. The most I would ever take is 8mg. You can get by just fine on lower doses in terms of keeping withdrawals away, but 8mg will help more with the cravings. You shouldn't need anything above 8mg though.
 
I agree that taking the methadone to get high is stupid, but I think that you could probably feel it within less than 24 hours. 8mg of bupe really only blocks effectively with chronic use. That being said, mixing the two is dangerous and dumb. You got on suboxone for a reason.
 
Even with a single dose 8mgs blocks other opiates pretty well for 2 days for me. With chronic use it takes me 3-4 days to get a decent high. Bupe seems to block differently for most people, and I happen to be at the longer end of it.
 
Well shit. I guess I'll trade out 4x methadone for a morphine or something. I was really looking forward to getting fucked one more time but my Sub appointment happened to be two days earlier then my dad and I had planned which fucked shit up. I took one 8mg yesterday and I am still feeling it pretty strongly 24 hours later.

I appreciate everyone's help though. If I hadn't posted on here I probably would of fucked things up.
