Benzos suboxone potentiating xanax?

hi. backstory. i get about 10 2mg xanax bars once a month from a friend. i've been on suboxone for 14 months but have been clean off it for the past 25 days. whenever i took 1mg xanax it would fuck me up. like blackout the whole night, also tons of energy, pass out easily later on, etc.

now i got my oncea month xanax last night. im not on anything else. no more suboxone. i had to take 2mg (full bar) and it didn't do shit! it made me forget some stuf while i was doing it but thinking back i can remember the entire night. no black spots or anything. later on i took another bar and it didn't even help me sleep.

i was taking valium when i came off suboxone. my last dose of valium was 2 weeks ago. it was the 10mg roche v-cuts but i wasn't really abusing it.

could it be my tolerance is still built up? i had 200mg roche valium and then some 5mg cheap ones before that when i originally came off suboxone 25 days ago. i burnt through them quickly though.

so anyway, tolerance? or possibly the mix of suboxone (very low dose at the time) was causing me to get very different effects? right now the xanax is not doing anything really. no euphoria, not getting tired, etc. just forget small tasks while doing them at work and that is it literally. prior when i was on subs i got bursts of energy, lots of euphoria, could go to sleep within minutes, woke up feeling great.
 
Yeah, it sounds like a little tolerance, but mostly that the Xanax was potentiating the Suboxone.

xanax potentiating the sub? or the other way around? cause i was only taking 1-2mg suboxone. seems like the sub made me feel the xanax much harder.
 
Yeah the sub could potentate the alprazolam definitely, you would think anyways. And your tolerance is still probably high but not to its fullest, its still probably up there though.
 
that blows lol. i got way less than i would regularly thinking a quarter would do me good and help me get sleep back. sleep blows 25 days after coming off subs!
 
I seem to disagree, when i took sub I always found that when I took xanax that I hardly felt the xanax when I was on sub... Thats why i never understood why all these sub doctors are so scared of prescribing benzo's to suboxone patients... I feel xanax to its full potential when im not on sub or a very very low dose: 0.25mgs or less..... Like say i was taking 2mgs of sub every day and then got some bars, i would have to literally take like 4-5 bars just to get to sleep when 1-2 bars (MAX) used to do the job b4 sub.
 
I TAKE KLONOPIN AND XANAX WITH MY sub (sorry for caps xd) and i feel the effect of my loving benzos through the sub well with the sub its a great combo it makes me have no stress no with drawl no more neighborhood oxy p.o.s. gettin rich from me uhhhh huhhhhhh no way
 
Technically speaking, I don't know of any benzo or opioid that truly potentiate one another. That being said, certain benzos and certain opioids do produce an extremely desirable synergy. You know, where the total effect seems greater than the sum of its part. Similar to the idea behind potentiation, but a little different.

Anyways, bupe being an opioid and xanax being a benzo, cns depressants and opioids have been known to work well (and in other cases be very dangerous),.
