There may be two things going on at work there; one is that hydrocodone will be more easily absorbed in the stomach if it is unionised (and more easily excreted in the urine), similar to amphetamine.
The other is that some drugs like Tagamet either increase the amount of more potent metabolites (codeine-->morphine, hydrocodone-->hydromorphone, tramadol-->o-desmethyltramadol) or decrease the amount of inactive metabolites (norcodeine, normorhine etc) that are formed by either inducing or inhibiting certain liver enzymes.
As for doing opioid fullagonists on Suboxone, you should wait until you're feeling jumpy and dopesick before even attempting to dose hydrocodone, otherwise you will llikely regret it. (not because it will make you W/D, but because it will be a waste of drug). Like being on naltrexone, if you want to feel the full effects of opiates you have to wait til the antagonists (or high affinity partial agonists) are out of your system again.
If you were doing less than 0.5mg of sub a day you might have a chance detoxing for 36 hours, but 2mg is a dose where the buprenorphine is partially blocking receptors instead of being turned to norbuprenorphine.
By the way, happy birthday. Trade your hydros for a fat blunt or something.
