suboxone not really doing anything?

hello. I have a IV heroin habit of about .5-1.0g a day. my last shot was around 6pm yesturday. i have been patiently waiting to take my suboxone...got pretty fed up so i took 2mg sublingually about 2 hours ago. took another 2mg about 30 minutes ago. after the first 2mg, i didn't get worse or better, i stayed the same. after the other 2mg i feel the same too. i'm thinking of railing another 2mg.

note, ive takin suboxone to get through withdrawals before and it has worked...perfectly.
 
How bad of withdrawals are you in and when you take them sublingually do you make sure you dont swallow any of it?

Because I was using $200 worth of black tar heroin intraveinously for 4 years and I switched to only 2 mg's of suboxone and it was more than enough to take care of my withdrawals, craving, and get me high a little.
 
i swallow all of it...aren't you supposed to? and i'm withdrawaling pretty badly...but i think i just figured out why....wow i'm retaRded and thank you for telling me this
 
Maybe the suboxone is old and has degraded?....there really is no explanation as to why suboxone wouldnt take care of your withdrawals....chemically, they fill the opiate receptors, keeping you from getting sick.....so I dont know what to tel you.

Maybe its a mental thing and your use to getting hgh and now your not, you "feel" the effects of the withdrawal alot more.

Or maybe you should just keep taking more until it works....it HAS to work sometime, some people just need alot more of it for some reason.....I dont understand why because I get by on 0.3 mg's but everyones different, so whatever.

Wait...you even said you took it sublingually...this doesnt make sense.
 
actually i think last time i didnt swallow it...but for some reason i did this time...idk ha i just dosed again, this time correctly...
 
Wow....your probably gonna have a BAD stomache ache.....people have told me thats whats happened to them when they "eat" suboxone. Hopefullly youll be fine though.

Anywa, sux that you wasted all that suboxone.

Also...you should snort it, the BA is way higher and you actualy taste it less if you happen to not like the taste(I love the taste, but apparently lots of people dont). It would save you from using so much suboxone.
 
i Inject it(100% BA ) but thats just me.....It even gives me a little rush when I do it in doses lower than 1-2 mg's.
 
Do more. like 8mgs. Assuming a "bag" is about .1, then i was doing a gram to 1.5 daily and i needed about 8-10mgs to feel totally normal.

I wouldnt reccomend this....

You should start small and give it time, if you need more you can always take more, but its best to not take too much all at once and then find out later you didnt need that much, because too much bupe and nalaxone can cause headaches, and other annoying problems.

Anyway...at very low doses, suboxone can give you euphoria because the low dose leaves some opiate receptors in your brain open so that bupes metabolite norbuprenorphine(full agonist like heroin or oxy) can attach to the receptors and get you "high". This doesnt work at higher doses(anything above 2-4 mg's give or take) because the bupernorphine has such a high binding affinity that it will outcompete ALL of the norbuprenorphine , meaning all you will have in your brain is partial agonists which dont get you high at all really, or cause any euphoria.
 
I used suboxone and couldn't stand the taste. at the hospital, they said it wouldn't work if I swallowed it but it did. But at home I snorted it and worked just fine. But that was 8/2 mg

edit: I didn't get any stomach ache from swallowing it whole
 
The oral BA of buprenorphine is less than 10%....thats why they tell you not to swallow it, that, and it causes stomache aches alot of times.

The sublingual BA is around 55%, intranasal 70%, IV 100%:), and I think thats about it.

If you dont know how to IV properly or just dont want to, I reccomend snorting it.
 
SL is probably the way to go if your trying to really get clean. For some people I.V'ing there subs might lead back to old behavior but for some it is very helpful and find it is the only way they can stay off full agonists. Plugging suboxone is also a nice way to go about doing it because it lets you load up your rig like you would a shot, but your not sticking needles in your veins.

I would sublingual 1/2 mg doses, wait about an hour and see how you feel before doing it again. It's in the addicts nature to want to take more and more, but you'll find it a hell of a lot easier to taper down from 2 mg than from say 16. Plus what james brown says about less being more is totally true. Low doses of suboxone give you a better effect, and if your tolerance is low enough, can even be very euphoric. At my lowest tapering point I was shooting about 100 micrograms of bupe per shot and I can say with certainty that the effect I got was way better than when I was taking 16 mg every day.
 
Try to throw it up???....i dunno there isnt really anythign you can do...

I guess taking pepto bismal would help or something like that.
 
so theres no hope...i'm out of town for 2 more days....i have an unlimited amount of sub left and it wont work...well maybe it will tmw but ive waited like 26 hours....goddd im buying methadone next time.. :(
