suboxone-Im saf, how long before i get well

Hi i just took an 8 mg suboxone with 8 mg bup and 2 mg naloxone
anyways im sick as fuck, how long before i feel better
i was doing about 1-2 grams really good dope, only 12 hrs after last use before i ate the sub.
 
oh its been an hour and a half sinc ei took it, stil feeling fed up. should i take another
 
if you were on 1-2 grams a day it's very likely that 8mg of suboxone is not going to fix you up

You may need as much as 32 but at that point it's just silly to use suboxone to come off h. Sorry. You may want to try methadone maintenance and taper on to sub at a more reasonable level or just bite the bullet and go cold turkey.
 
i have more, my habit has dropped in the last week, i want to try another 8mg, but im woriied ill just get more sick
 
If you were going to have precipitated withdrawal, you'd be having them.

Did your w/d get WORSE after you took the sub?
 
Yeah, that's precipitated withdrawal. Shitty, man. I guess you took it too soon after your last dose.

So, don't take more. There's nothing you can do at this point except get through it. Try taking another 8mg in like ... 12 hours should be safe, I'd think.
 
god fuk this shit god dzmnit ive talked to numerous junkies here in sf and i know folks who transition form dope to sub to dope to sub with nary any problems
why so f'ed for me? i guess everybody body different
 
You just took the sub too soon after your last dose. When you're getting sick quickly because you use often, that risk definitely presents itself.
A lot of people will take like 1 mg in the morning to keep from getting sick and then usually they're okay to do opiates by evening, but 8mg is going to take longer to clear out.
 
It's always kind of a guessing game. When I switched from MMT to sub I was supposed to wait three days
 
It's the naloxone that's in the suboxone, not the bupe. If you take naloxone too soon after taking an opiate it will send you into precipitated withdrawal.

Now, subutex on the other hand is just bupe with no naloxone so it doesn't cause this.
 
i thought the naloxone qwas just to stop people shooting it, i thought the bup in the sub was supposed to bind tightly

You're right, naloxone doesn't do anything to you when taken orally. It just takes a while for bupe to fill the receptors for some people. I am always sick the first day on sub, then it slowly gets better each day after that. I think if you were in precipitated w/d's then you'd be too sick to be posting. You just gotta ride it out. I know it sucks, I just did it again last Saturday.

i think your right im not throwing up or having stomach aches just shakey les and sweating, buti am starting to feel more mnautious.
