I recently picked up my new Suboxone tablet script, which I have been prescribed before. I am beginning a detox coming off 1200-1500mg IV Oxycodone coupled with a saddening 32mg-48mg Hydromorphone habit. These suboxone tablets are able to take the worst of the W/D away at 4mg, and I took 2mg more T+2hr and am now relatively comfortable.

My experience with the strips has been completely different. First of all I only dose sublingually and it can be difficult at times when dopesick to get a small piece of a film strip neatly under my tongue. Secondly, IME, I need a whole strip when I would've taken 6mg of tablet and achieved the same results. Thirdly, if I do cutting a film strip, save half on the little package and seal it in a small Rx bottle it loses its potency in a few days.. at least it certainly feels like it. It also becomes much easier to break them apart, such as how the tablets soften and crumble stored over time.

Thoughts? Experiences?

I personally prefer the strips, since i dose sublimgually (i am trying to actually quit, so no sniffing for me).

I learned a longgg time ago how to deal with those issues.

1) use scissors to cut the strips, cut a few days/doses worth at one time.

2) use a pair of tweezers to put the piece under your tongue. Sometimes if I use my finger it gets wet and sticks to it. The tweezers prevent that.

As for losing its potency I have no idea wtf you're talking about. I take 2.5mg/day, meaning I cut an 8mg strip into 3 doses. I then keep the other 5.5mg in the pouch folded over for days and it has NEVER lost potency for me. Not once. Keep the folded pouch somewhere else I guess. I've never once had that issue.

tablets cuz you can snort, plug, and if you are into needles, even IV those bad boys. i don't suggest continuing with needles though because that is addict behavior.

based on BA, duration, and strength (from best ROA to least effiecient ROA): IV > plugging > snorting > sublingual

i have been snorting suboxone everyday for about 5 months now and the only discomfort i get from doing so is orange boogers

IVing Suboxone is the most retarded thing I've ever heard of in my life and I will never do it. I've been IVing all that oxy every day for a long ass time, and the last thing I want to do is now that I'm giving my lungs and heart a break, start shooting that crap.

Read the case studies bro IVing subs is the dumbest thing. So many people have died or lost limbs. And they work miraculously under my tongue. That's how I like them. As prescribed.

heh, dont get the wrong idea, i think that IV suboxone is not a good idea and i definitely dont condone it, but plenty of people on this site say they IV their subs. one user (CH) stated he preferred to shoot up 100 micrograms suboxone after filtering it through a micron-filter, it is definitely not safe to shoot up pills and loosing an arm is possible if you don't know what you are doing with needles. IV suboxone pills is no more dangerous than IV oxyocodone tablets

pills over strips. pills you have different ROA's. the strips are easier for tapering once you are down to a low dose though because there are much easier to cut into pieces.
