I finally took the big step and told my family about my addiction and am now in counseling and on suboxone. I'm new to this and I was prescribed the suboxone film, not pills. Is it still the same as i've heard in other posts that less is more? I'm supposed to take 2 x 8mg daily. After reading other posts this now seems like a high dose. Is it different than pills? I know the films are a combination of bupe and naloxone 8mg/2mg. Whats the difference? I tried to search but I keep getting the BDD forum with no results for some reason. I could ask my Doc but I don't go back until Monday and am curious.

The strips are made up of the exact same stuff (8mg bupe/2mg naloxone) as the Suboxone pills. I personally think that 16mg per day is a lot...w/me less definitely is more with Suboxone. It's not like other pills IMO. I would try to start out with 2mg or less and see how that makes you feel. Do what feels right for you and keeps your cravings at their lowest. Good luck!!! =)

I made a post today actually about less being more, I'll find it.
But yes - They're exactly the same except they'll disolve and be absorbed quicker sublingually so it's good :)
It's exactly like those little strips of minty mint stuff that are an alternative to gum or mints.

Ah - Here we are. This is said post I was speaking of.
I hope it's of some help to you ;)
