Bupe Suboxone/Buprenorphine FAQ & Megathread v3; 2010 - 2022

I've become pretty much convinced shooting suboxone is completely pointless. Now, let me explain.....

After a recent dope relapse i started messing around with the needle again. I was shooting my suboxone, about 1-2 mg a day. It didn't seem to last very long. I recently caught a charge for Mary j possession so decided to stop using my suboxone IV.

Now I'm snorting it and taking it sublingual. Surprisingly, the effects are actually more pronounced when I snort it thAn they were back when I was shooting it. Doesn't seem to make sense considering IV bupe is supposed to be 100% BA. But maybe it has something to do with the naloxone? I know that sub has a higher affinity for the receptors but that doesn't mean the naloxone literally does nothing. I'm convinced it has a small amount of effect at least otherwise why would snorting it work better for me?

Maybe it has something to do with losing sub in the filtering process when shooting? I don't know. I'm just going to say if you're shooting sub its both dangerous and pointless. You're better off taking it sublingually or snorting it.
 
So my question here. What if you're stabled on subs and you shoot up more than 2mg? The naloxone will over power the bup? Because that's what a lot of users say, they say it will send them into withdrawals. How would that be if the affinity of bup is higher than naloxone, the key in why people go into PW if taken too early. Back when internet experts didn't know much, they were blaming the naloxone as the main role in why some get PW and some don't but that myth was busted when now you can get it both with suboxone and subutex...
 
^i don't think shooting more than 2mg will put you into withdrawal, why would it? The bupe has a higher affinity for the receptors. It's possible at very high doses the naloxone (and I think even at lower doses it has at least a little bit of an effect) can put up a fight but I've never IV'd more than 3 or 4 mg at once myself. I've heard of people getting sick from doing like 16mg at once but that is just ridiculous to do.

Suboxone has always put me into withdrawal if I injected it while addicted to H, even if I was already in withdrawal it would make me feel worse for about 30 minutes. Never had that problem when I took it sublingual though. I'm guessing it's because of the naloxone but I'm not positive as I have never had subutex to compare. Maybe it just made me sick until the bupe knocked the naloxone off the receptors? I don't know. My opinion is don't bother injecting sub it isn't worth it. I get better effects from snorting or putting it under the tounge, and it lasts longer.
 
How do i find help with finding suboxone strips without insurance? I need help getting off of drugs. I don't want to live like this anymore. I want to clean up my life and i need help. I live in Dallas texas is there anywhere to get help?
 
go to a meeting, go PAY a doctor if you do not have insurance (youre spending money on drugs anyway), or find the right people to help you out - if you have family or friends, maybe open up to them!?

not much else you can do. you need to get out there and ask for help.
 
Question. With a low supply of subs, and lets say 1mg is sufficient enough to feel normal. Considering the long 36hr half life as well, would taking that 1mg lets say every other day be sufficient to maintain a mostly normal feeling? The supply must be stretched out until the next possible gain of sub. In am unaware of what taking these are like so thats why I ask, as the facts would suggest such as a possibility.
 
taking 1MG every 36hrs? are you taking these for recreational or for an actual problem? thats a very low dose and you would no longer fail that initial gram after 8-12hrs; even before that but after that 12hr mark you may start to feel a bit of withdrawal.

you may want to do some reading on these suboxone; it can be found all over the internet.
 
I have been reading a very long time. what you just stated about the 12hr "withdrawal"seems fairly linear with everyone's experience. But the facts on bupe suggest otherwise, considering its half life, and natural build up in the body of a typical daily dose. And this is for a "maintenance" until any more subs can be acquired. Having read a bunch on dosage as well, without any actual experience, the 1mg seems appropriate considering the opposing full agonist usage of 30-60 mg dosage of oxycodone. Yet the subs dosage may be adjusted once physically experienced, but the 1mg was best guess.
 
if you are taking 60MG of Oxycodone and think taking 1MG of sub every 36hrs is going to work then you have a world of problems a head of you. thats if you care about the actual withdrawals; if not, then do your thing and just take the 1MG to ease ll withdrawals but waiting a 36HR period to your next dose will put you in some WD.

doesnt matter what you have read; everyone reacts differently. I have taken suboxooe for years and have heard thousands and thousands of stories by now; people tend to take once they feel that withdrawal, which could be anywhere from 6-36hrs depending on the person, the drug and everything else.

just be ready for what is going to happen; your plan does NOT SOUND GOOD nor does it sound like you have a clue what to actually do.
 
Well I mean as I said, I only have a limited quantity before more can be acquired. So it's not really possible to do anything else other then a fast taper if a higher dose is necessary right off the bat.

But pertaining to taking it every other day the actual theory behind it only looking at the pharmakenetics of it and not user experience then in theory that should work. This timeline would keep it more or less at a fairly consistent dose in your body at any given time without a natural build up of a daily dose. This may not sound like a good idea to you because you have the physical experience of it, and that's why I am here as well as many others. But as I said the theory works, that's why I am asking how feasable it really is.
 
I'm starting a taper slowly, since I finally found a GP who managed to get all of my specialists diagnoses without me asking for it, he's really awesome, maybe it's because his last name is the same as mine, and it's a kinda rare last name. Anyway, today I was surprised, I was given these new generic Teva-Buprenorphine-Naloxone tablets. They definitely have less citrus extracts in them, which is a good thing, but is coming in late, as a person who only ever had very few cavities, before starting Bupe in august 2013, I had 3 cavities,in the front of my mouth, so white fillings and none of that mercury crap. Well, after 2 years, even if brushing my teeth 2 to 3 times a day with a stronger in sodium fluoride concentration, prescription toothpaste, which I asked my dentist for since there was many people, those who were on suboxone since more than 2 years I talked to in the waiting room...all of em were plagued with cavities, this girl who also only had 2 minor cavities filled with white fillings in her whole life, and another who never had any at all, all were plagued with cavities because of the lime and lemon natural and artificial extracts. These generic Teva suboxones have a very slight lemon taste so I imagine that they contain much less of those damn extracts, but it's a little bit late for me. My new dentist (the one I had before who scripted me dilaudid 2mg x 4 + codeine contins 200mg every 12 hours for my TMJ disorder, he was a dentist who's a specialist of the jaw,a maxilo-facial dentist, he retired on me so that's why I went and did my best to find a connection to a pharm dealer and the rest is history). I have to get fucking amalgam "silver" fillings, my insurance only covers frontal teeth for white fillings, it's the government insurance since I'm a contractor and work from home, not a lucky unionised person (to think people who work in grocery stores...not to demean them, I worked 7 years in a supermarket's produce section during most of my college program(s) (switched a couple times before finding my true path) are unionised and have these insurances that pay for ceramic fillings which are the best and costliest of them all...Anyway, I'm not sure I like my new dentist, he at least gave me a referral to a new maxilo-facial dentist, a young woman, so finally my town has a jaw specialist again...but the first amalgam filling he did, I don't know if it's normal, but my whole tooth he repaired became gray on the outside, that's a sign the tooth is dying isn't it? Why the fuck did methadone have to mess with my testosterone...I would have never switched otherwise. It covered the pain and although not very euphoric, still made life easier.

Anyways...anybody in Canada had these generic Teva suboxones? Any difference in effects or they are just like the brand name Suboxone? I don't think the US has generic Suboxone, they don't even have pills anymore...so. Next week when I get my doses I'll ask the pharmacist I'm the most friendly with, hopefully he'll be there, if he's heard of Zubsolv or Bunavail becoming available in Canada or being investigated at least by Health Canada, got no idea if these are even being considered. I don't want this to mess with my taper...I know normally generics are just fine, but in the case of benzos, I've had pharmacists admit that sometimes certain batches were weaker or even stronger, but that it didn't happen often, like how Mylan-Alprazolam was not worth shit to me, so when they had issues getting Teva-Alprazolam, I asked for brand name Xanax, it's cheap as fuck anyway so it wasn't an issue of having it being covered only by 75%.

I know if I have issues I can tell the clinic that I'd rather have the brand name ones....but if they really have the advantage of not being as acidic and being exactly the same, then perfect. Because my TMJ issue is much worse since I visit the dentist regularly to have those cavities filled, you can be certain I'll tell him about this greyed out molar after he filled it with amalgam, and tell him to only do my frontal tooth for now. I had one out of 4 fillings that was amalgam and it didn't cause me problems despite my fear and the scientific basis that amalgam isn't very safe, especially if they have to remove the filling creating that mercury vapor. Because if that tooth is dying and I need a root canal, and the motherfucker tells me to buy ibu or scripts me strong ibu. He can't even be arsed with scripting me a muscle relaxant for my jaw, everytime I go see him, for 2 weeks after eating is painful as hell. I'll tell him that if he doesn't script me something like Zanaflex at least if he won't prescribe opiates (I've had opiate scripts cleared by my clinic when I needed a real painkiller one time, it was something horrible called pilonidal cyst that got infected and exploded and now it's become a pilonidal sinus, and when I was on antibiotics, the doctor scripted me OxyIR's 10mg every 4 hours so, I had to have the script allowed by the clinic, which they do, but even then, I didn't take my suboxone for a couple days before even trying them, and I had to take 50mg to feel it, which is not optimal. I want to continue my taper from bupe since my GP is promising me 60mg generic oxycontin once I get off it, he understands I wasn't really ever a junkie but a pain patient that was abandoned by an asshole who retired without warning, who had me on opiates much weaker than what I ended up doing near the end before I thought fuck it, I'm going on methadone, it's gonna be free and i'll have a dose everyday and I won't have my wallet empty and asking friends for money loans (using lies as to why I needed money, none of my friends ever knew I was that deep, they knew of my pain problem and that I was seeing a doctor who scripted me opiates, but codeine-contin 200mg every 12 hours and a percodan for breakthrough pain is nothing compared to what the pharmie dealer had.

God Knows I Hurting So fin Bad ...No serious withdrawal symptoms up to 900 gabapentin,0 nausea diarrhea,only took 1a total of 6 mg of loperamide in 6 days.. Melatonin sleep aid and for anxiety 2 at a time. Zofran 0.4 mg as needed If I felt a bubble, I took 1 was takin muscle relaxer 4 mg Tizanidine Ok yall Heres the kicker ,I've been taking 300 mg a day of tramadol for the first time in my life sometimes.Now understand this Ive taken every other kind of opiate pain medication at first injectable mepergan. So I was in my methadone clinic to get my dose yesterday and found a 2 mg sub on the floor. someone must have palmed their dose then dropped it accidently.

Anyway I gave it to my cousin who is addicted to IV morphine. I cant really find any solid conversions for IV bupe - IV morphine... I've read 2 mgs IV bupe is 50 mgs of IV morph, and others say 2 mgs of bupe is 25 mgs of morphine IV. Im just curious. hes saving it until hes really sick and cannot find anything. Im basically just wondering if 2 mgs of bupe will provide him relief off (full blown) withdrawal symptoms. he shoots about 60 mgs of morph at a time, but as much as 100 mgs sometimes. he says 15 mgs of IV morphine or 30-40 mgs of oxycodone provides him withdrawal relief, so I assume 2 mgs of bupe most definitely should give him relief. but to get high he like I said will inject 100 mgs of morphine.

If someone can tell me what THEY feel 2 mg's of bupe is equal too in IV morphine. and he knows there probably wont be much of a high, he just has a good job and is saving it for a day he is too sick to go to work and cannot find any desirable opioids to get him by.

^^I actually got my answer, he just shot it 20 hours after his last morphine hit. He said it was like a decent little shot of oxycodone, and certainly got rid of his withdrawal symptoms. for him he estimated it at 40-50 mgs of IV morphine. so I guess most calculators are pretty on the mark for the most part.

But if they wean you off professionally and with the medication you will be getting it should be doable.
In my experience it is much better to feel it getting better after 3-5 days then to suffer for 1-2 weeks or longer.

@0,4mg: Here in Germany we even have 0,4mg Subutex Generics (Buprenaddict) which are very good to taper off with. But they are never sold on the black market because the average junkie is used to the 8mg.

The name of the medication is kinda off putting, when you visit a new dentist, they often have you fill a form and you write in meds you take, that'd be like "oh, we have a guy who used to shoot up here, great" heh.
 
went from 16MG to 8MG over the last week; barely noticing a difference. I've never noticed that big of a difference between 8 and 16MG's but lets see how today plays out! if the weekend goes well, then ill stick w/ my 8MG for a long ass time! I am in no rush to get off but would like to get down to 1 pill a day or maybe 4MG twice/day, so lets see what happens!

was just shooting a G+ dope/day about 2-3 months ago.. havent had an urge or craving at all, so pray for this niglet right hurrrrrrrrr!
