^that, to be frank, is a bunch of bullshit.

Sure, injecting suboxone or subutex is definately not how you want to induct yourself, but precipitated withdrawal can occur through sublingual administration as well. In fact, the worst case of precipitated withdrawal I ever had was through sublingual use.

When it comes to suboxone, there are a lot of false truth's out there, mainly that the naloxone effectively deters abuse. Buprenorphine alone is what causes precipitated withdrawals when using suboxone, because bupe has a higher affinity to opiate receptors than naloxone does, meaning that once the bupe takes hold of those receptors, the naloxone has nothing left to do, but swim around in you bloodstream 'till it's excretid.

yeah, i just went to the suboxone website. it says doing it before your receptors are clear will lead to wd's.. idk if i should take it now, its been close to 18 hours..i dont feel sick but my nose is runny, my body is some what sore, and i feel like if i swallow all this extra spit i will vomit...oh and im craving bad, im trying my best to not call my dealer...i am an addict after all

i took 1mg cuz im scared.. my mouth is so over salivating, i couldnt keep it under my tongune.. i sort of just swallowed my bupe and spit mixture!

how would i know if i am havin pwds my stomach sort of hurts..ohh by the way i have anxiety..and i seem to trip my self out over stuff like this

You get MUCH higher when you get your bupe dose below 2mg per use.

I was once on 16mg a day back in my teens, and barely felt each dose because my receptors were always so saturated so I didn't get any euphoria - which is associated with the increasing levels on bupe after each dose.

I went down to 1mg three times a day and felt it much better.

Then I quit for 3 days, went into withdrawals, then took .5mg and was completely high like I had taken a strong dose of hydrocodone.

The lower the dose, the quicker your body eliminates the bupe after each dose, therefore the bigger increase you'll feel after each dose, hence increased euphoria.

You can drop from 32mg to 8mg in a week. Tolerance adjusts extremely fast with bupe both up and down.

so im trying to use them recreationally cuz i only have a few. what dose would u recommend. 1mg?
its gunna be hard to cut an 8mg in to 8 peices.
anyways once i know the dose i also need to know how often I should re-dose to be as effected as possible?

It doesnt make sense. I can understand 4mg giving u the same high as 1mg. but i dont understand how 4mg would give u less a high. I wonering why they have 8mg tablets when they are weaker than the 1mg tablets

Taking Subutex, went on a two day H binder, and now trying to get back on Subutex

*I* have been on tecs for 4 monhtts, and the plasma levels have built up ghigh enough where *I* cna take H and barely feel it.. Long story short, *I* took *my* last 12 mg dose in the morning, *I* bought two bags and did them both (.2 bags) and then proceeded to do it th efollowing day. *I* last shot was at 630PM yesterday (saturday) and my question is that is it ok if *I* do *my* subutex now? Its been almost 24 hours.... so I think *I* will be fine..

*I* have done this in the past and when he was on suboxone it made him go into mild W/D for about 15 min and it was over with, with this happen with subutex since it has already bound in their blood serum to a point where it is still there.. Because *I* have done this before and taken tecs less than 12 hours and felt fine...

(NO DRUG TEST QUESTIONS!!!)

Any answers would be great. I know it seems like Im a newbie but Ive been on here before asking many questions but its been so long that I can remember long or pass so I created a new on.. Any help would be much appreciated. Love the community here, and the knowledgeable answers..

Cut out that SWIM shit, it's against the rules and does nothing to protect you.

You should be fine, it being nearly 24 hours since your last dose. You may not be, though; There's no way for us to know for sure.

As for your drug testing question, we don't do those here.

These sort of questions belong in the suboxone/buprenorphine megathread for future reference, I'm going to merge it there. Also, please refrain from using SWIM, I know it was a mistake, but its a real eye sore. we also dont do drug screening questions of any kind here.

Wow, you guys are ruthless with new comers. There are so many websites out there that demand SWIM be used, and we may come in here thinking we have to do the same thing. Also, not all of us,have read the rules. Alot of the people that come here are like me, attics, and we have a sense of urgency to get our questions answered. We are either need some harm reduction advice or want to know about the little pill we found, we are going to go directly to from the sign up page to the forum! If you guys really want to make sure that we have read the rules, maybe you all should come up with a quiz that we have to pass before we can post, that way the regulars here dont get to get their thrills from making new users feel stupid. js

I am using bupe to quit H, I have a 5 day supply. I am going to use as little as possible every day. What can I expect after I stop the suboxones.

My plan is to either move back to lortabs after my 5 days is up, or try to get on kratom. But either way I WANT TO CONTROL IT i dont want it to control me any more.

I know I can water loop it, mix it with a powder substance, and snort like that, or just stick the strip up there, however; I would like to know if its a good idea to do this.

I hate to break it to you partner but no matter what you do unless you switch to bupe for a while in my humble opinion your habit will continue to control you... expect the same effects after 5 days of bupe when you come off as you would expect just coming off the heroin... opiate withdrawals plain and simple...... find a doc get on bupe maint your habit will be "under control" but you will still wake up with the first thing on your mind being a little orange tablet instead of a tan liquid in a syringe. I was up to 24mg a day when I first started (ridiculous my doctor kept me at 24mg on maintenance for a year, I just started tapering by myself because I didn't like how it's been making me feel)

Anyways, ever since I've started subutex, I've had some serious problems while trying to have sex.
Let me start with a quick history first, I have always had a great sex life, I've been very very sexually active will all of my past relationships. I would go so far to say , that in a few relations sex was all that even held the relationship together.

Well, for the past 2 years, I've been on subutex, and about 2 months after getting on subutex, I met a girl, and we started dating.
In the past 2 years, I've had next to NO sex drive. I don't get turned on by anything, I don't ever want to have sex, I don't get much pleasure even out of masturbation.
I don't get aroused by looking at attractive women, or thinking of sexually appealing things. (Atleast things that would've been appealing)
I can maybe have sex once every 1 - 2 weeks, and actually enjoy it. (Used to be 1-3 times daily)

I don't know whats wrong with me. I feel like I'm never going to be normal again, I feel like I'm never going to have a good sex life, or a strong sex drive , ever.
I would've thought that if it were the subutex, I would start to atleast get some appetite for sex back while tapering. But that has not been the case.
Could I have experienced permanent damage? Has anyone else experienced problems similar? (I also take clonidine, and ativan, but I have taken those longer than I've taken subutex, and they've not affected me an any negative manner related to this)

Also, I don't know if anyone else has experienced this, but , the whole time Ive been taking subutex, my days just seem to blur together. Instead of having seperate, day to day, I feel like days just turn into other days and everything is smeared together. Ugh, so many things feel wrong. I don't know what to do. I just want to know I'll feel normal again one day...but I don't feel like I will.

The good news is you are normal. Suboxone/subutex and any other opioid or opiate will have a negative effect on your sex drive.... I remember being off suboxone not too long ago and my sex drive was out of this world. I can still have sex... its just a little dulled down these days because of being on buprenorphine... you will feel better my friend if your taking 8mg sublingually roughly 2mg is actually getting absorbed and active which is right around where what I call the magic effect is.... as you continue to taper under the dose you are now it will get much more difficult to keep to the taper at lower doses because the withdrawal gets worse. However, when you taper down to around 3mg sublingually or in other words when your only absorbing around 1mg total in your blood your sex drive will be markedly improved. And when your off of bupe completely and PAST the withdrawal stages your sex drive will come raging back.... something to remember is the human body is an incredible machine it wants more than anything to be normal so when you stop taking bupe it will be normal again... the only circumstance where this would be not true is if your 20 and started taking bupe and got off at 50 as you age your body starts to die and things stop working so but it doesn't sound like that's you. I hope this answers it for you my friend.

The withdrawals from Subs completely annihilate any other opiate out on the market if you are on it too long. I've been triaging reports from erowid, and I've read a couple reports of people staying on it for one month, coming off of it, and not having any withdrawals whatsoever. In one report, the doctor of the guy who wrote it stated that anyone who has been on it for 2-3 years will have bad PAWS no matter how low they taper. The only thing he could do was give them extra medication to help them deal with the PAWS. This doctor was fired from his first practice because he refused to keep patients on suboxone more than a month, thus they were losing business. That's what most doctors do. They start you on an insanely high dose of bupe, and keep you on it for many many years thus when you want to get off of it, you have to go through withdrawals, and then deal with the months long PAWS. The reason they do that is to keep making money. That is more doctor visits you have to pay for to get another prescription. I wish I would have known all of this beforehand. I stayed on suboxone for 4 years not even knowing what I was in for.

I'm telling you now, don't stay on suboxone too long. As soon as you get on it, start your taper. Try to come off of it within a month. If people in those reports on erowid are saying the same thing, I believe them.

^amen. i wish i knew more about suboxone before i made it a daily thing. i thought it was a blessing, and it is in a way. i have no cravings for alcohol, minimal opiate cravings, and can get a lot of school work done. the bad side: i'm probably looking at 6 months to a year after my last dose to begin feeling normal.

suboxone should be a last resort, unless you just dont care at all.

prelude2tragedy: you'll spring back when you taper down far enough man. just keep going lower and lower very slowly. my problem has been trying to taper too quickly and then i jump back up to 4 or 8 or 16 or whatever. reduce every 2 weeks or longer. as in, drop 1mg or so every 2 weeks. not any sooner or it will catch up to you. eventually, youll be under 2mg a day and youll see the light my friend and your feelings will come back, i promise! just keep tapering, take it easy, a whole mess of us are in your exact position including myself! bupe sucks but it also saves. im around 4mg a day finally. been on it three years now. id love to get off it but being on it this long, the only way is to very slowly and patiently taper. sometimes i use kava and/or kratom to reduce bupe dosages a little more quickly. yes, the side effects of bupe can be very irritating. many of us experience this every day. i wonder how many people are on suboxone rigth now on this planet. hundreds of thousands maybe... just like us...

(16mg is a little less than twice as strong as 8mg)

Now after I've got that question out of the way, Ive been using subs the last few days 24mg, maybe 32mg. only had 8mg this morning. i was only using oxy occationally but was hooked to codeine. Dont worry im not gunna take them for more than a week. im trying to quit codeine but am trying to get a little bit of relaxation out of em too. Im quitting codeine cuz i can a liver function test done & my liver enzymes are out of whackl. i blame the soluble apap. cuz somtimes i was doing it twice a day. anyways...

I was hoping to get an "effect" from subs but all i feel is a very mild sedation. I think. maybe the pills I got were out of date or something. is this right. i have basically no tolerance to opiates. Shouldnt I feel good on 32mg?
well I dunno what's wrong but 400mg of codeine quite stronger than 32mg of bupe. does that sound correct? bupe seems to last alot longer which is good though. codeine has a good high for like 20 mins followed by just a weak effect for a few hrs.
they are bupe pills they're oval shaped. taste bitter & horrible. ive been holding them under my tongue too.

Are you sure what you have is buprenorphine? IME Some who can still get high of codiene would be absolutely recked of even 2mgs of sub. Either way I think bupe is not right for you, the w/d's are likely to be worse than your DOC
